It's been nice to see the out pouring of tributes across the world for Jota.. from rivals, as well...

Oasis dedicated Live Forever to him on the first show of their reunion tour..

Gutted about Jota. He was a lot of fun to watch and seemed to have a great personality. Just tragic.

We’ve delayed preseason start.

He didn’t play or score as much last year. Always had some injury time each year. Wonder how or if we will replace him or if he changes our plans for a younger player who may go out on loan etc.

Every Jota goal for Liverpool - so much talent.

He was on absolute fire right when he arrived with 7 goals in 10 games.

Jota was such a gifted finisher. I know he obviously would want to start every game like anyone would, but I really loved having him come on as a substitute. He just seemed to be able to come in and find that goal off the bench so often.

There are guys that just have a knack for being in the right place at the right time, and Jota was one of those guys.

Hasn't been very much on the transfer news lately, not surprisingly with Jota.

I really hope we don't lose Diaz like it's been reported we may.

regarding Nunez:
quote:

This comes following a bid worth up to €55 million (£47.5m), with €50 million up front and a further €5 million in add-ons, with the Italian club “prepared to pay him up to £100,000 a week after tax.”

However, transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that offer will not be accepted, with Liverpool’s rejection leaving Napoli to revise their approach.

“€50 million was never going to be enough for Liverpool,” Romano explained on YouTube.

“But in the next days, in the next two weeks, Napoli are expected to try again for Darwin. He remains their top target.”

It seems likely that Liverpool would accept an improved offer for their No. 9, though it would clearly need to be on their terms, with Romano previously suggesting they would seek a fee closer to £60 million.

Konate looks like he's trying to get to Real Madrid, and the talks to get Mark Guehi from Palace have been a bit hush hush lately.

The transfer talk lately has just been about our guys leaving, not guys coming in.
We can't lose Jota, Nunez and Diaz.
I think they want very much to keep Diaz, and are ready to let Nunez go as along as we can bring in someone like Hugo Ekitike.

Our 2nd game gets moved to a Monday after we get stuck with a Friday in game 1. That’s annoying.

We're playing a friendly today at Preston North End. It's currently 1-0 Liverpool on a 33rd minute goal by Connor Bradley.

Liverpool was victorious 3 to 1. With goals coming from Bradley Nunez and Gakpo

It was good to watch a few of the new guys in red... so ready to start the season in a month and see who come and goes from the squad...

I'll be the first to admit, I have always rooted for Nunez and wanted him to succeed... A few months ago, I knew he had to go.. in light of everything recently, part of me wants to give him one more chance with the new additions... I know I'm being overly sentimental, but I want a lot of the current guys left to go again and let it be what it is come May...

Looks like Napoli has to sell Osimen before they can buy Darwin.

Nunez - i wouldn't be upset about giving it another go with him. You saw what he could do his first year here.

Diaz - i don't want him to leave.

Konate - i'm fine with him leaving, as long as we get the CB from Palace and regardless of where Konate ends up we need another young up and coming CB to replace Quansah.

I can't think they are wanting to pay this much money to bring him in as a back up... Is this some smoke about Isak leaving?

And play alongside Isak? They already have big money invested in Gordon and now Elanga...

I see Ornstein and the usual suspects are now reporting our approach for Isak... on phone, so no link

I just don't see them letting Diaz go, and they seem pretty adamant about not letting him go with the price they have set for him.

I don't think Isak is moving this transfer window.

Given the current state of our top line we can't let Diaz leave for anything less than what isak will cost at a minimum. He's too valuable to let walk. I don't understand why he's wanting to leave

I think other places are willing to pay him more money, and Barca is just his dream team.

The bar for Isak, likely a British transfer record, is too high for this idea to apply to Diaz, and it may be the case with Rodrygo as well.

He wants to leave because we dont want to extend him and at 28, he wants a big contract...

There is no way we'll get the same price for him as Isak... I think if an offer comes in ~ £70mm... that might convince us to sell..
