Also regarding Henderson, I agree with the recent comments. I believe he just has a higher ceiling than Shelvey, but I also believe they can both feature together on the same squad.
Agreed. And I just love the shift we've made to get younger. Hope FSG continues to push toward sustained success and are patient through the whole rebuilding process. I'm a big BR fan and right now he looks like the future.
And thanks guys, I'll try to post more. Just a man of few words naturally...

I think the push to get younger is prolly the most intriguing part of this turnover. I really am excited to see these guys play together for a few years. Sterling, Kelly, Allen, shelvey, borini. Just a lot of good young talent. From all accounts we got deal on the young German kid.
I also like that BR is willing to go all out for someone he thinks is essential(Allen), but is willing to hold out if the price isn't good on someone who's not as certain to fit.
It was great to see him playing a young guy if it's deserved. One thing I can't stand in all pro sports is playing old guys for no good reason.

Southampton got Gaston Ramirez for £12m. Wtf?
Posted on 8/31/12 at 2:20 pm to LSUSOBEAST1
Supposedly, he wanted stupid wages.

Suso may be off to Genk on loan...

@BBCSport We're hearing there will be NO incoming transfers at Liverpool tonight. Looks like the Clint Dempsey deal is off for good...

Ayre and Rodgers have both left Melwood. Doesn't look like money will be spent tonight fellas.

Just checking in. You frickers OK?
Posted on 8/31/12 at 2:41 pm to LSUSOBEAST1
Geez. I guess we just have to somehow score goals with what we've got.
Sucks for Clint. Sucks for everyone.

Sky Sources: Liverpool's bid for Clint Dempsey was £4m & club refuse to offer higher. Aston Villa bid £5m plus £2m add-ons

If Suarez goes down we are fricked. The Carroll move makes no sense now since we really don't have a back up CF who has played in the PL.

Don't know what's more disappointing, that or Joe Cole reportedly turned down interest from Everton
Posted on 8/31/12 at 2:45 pm to LSUSOBEAST1
Seriously disappointed we didnt bring a striker... This is a serious frick up on Mgt.'s part...

If Suarez or Borini goes down we're fricked. The only other guy is Adam Morgan. And Yesil I guess.
Damn.
Damn.

Unfortunately building for the future requires A LOT of patience especially after how careless we were spending before

Not as big as a frick up as the previous regime. This window was more about correcting those mistakes, and shipping off the dead weight. Balancing the books.
We've got some very good players now, and guys who I mostly like. We're in a dangerous spot now as far as depth, however. I suppose there is always the January window...

Agreed. I'd prefer them be responsible than repeat previous mistakes.

I can happily say we did not overpay for anyone. And we offloaded Chuck. It can't be that bad, can it?
