I hope for all of my Pool friends that the scan is negative. Lucas has been a joy to watch.

We can only pray. We're fricked without him.
It's so funny thinking back on how lackluster he played over a year ago. I would venture to say he's the most improved player in the world right now. Dude is absolutely playing out of his mind. I love him.
The gay kind of love.

It truly has been a privilege to watch him grow into the player he his. He has many many great years ahead of him with the captain's band on his arm. Luckily, we have a relatively easy stretch of matches in front of us. That will give Lucas time to rest up while Spearing tries to fill his role. Should be interesting to see.

I'm a little worried that Spearing's best attribute so far has been his ability to compliment Lucas. I'm definitely pulling for him just for the stick he's gotten, but I'm a bit nervous relying on him in Lucas' role.

Once again, I was mocked before the season when I said he was the best DM in England.

Lucas is the best CDM in England now that Essien is hurt, and one of the best in Europe.

Not by me, he was our best player last season. All early reports say that he may be out 6 months.
Huge blow, if so...
Comolli, in a months time, go get Ever Banega!!!!!

Way to premature to speculate. Results of the scan are not in.

Maybe they were lying in their tweets but I was just sent the same thing from twitter via a text message from a friend.

It appears to have come from Lucas' mouth.

It did last night. Has anyone heard anything of the results of the scan.
By the way, the future is now- Shelvey recalled!

Well done everyone tonight. I will have the scan to see how bad is my injury... Just send positives energy and I hope won't be to bad.

Worked out perfectly for Jonjo. He got first team football for couple months and now we get to see if he has matured as a player.
This may be the only positive thing to come from Lucas's injury.
I hope we hear something definitive about the injury today. I hate the whole "we are pleased with his fitness progression" for 6 months without knowing exactly what is wrong. That shite never happens in American sports (NFL/NBA)

Shelvey and Lucas play totally different roles. That said I am interested to see how his time in the Championship translates to the Premiership.
Shelvey's presence might free up another CM to fill in for Lucas(Henderson?).
