How do you loan out Stefan Bajcetic before announcing that you’ve signed at least a squad #6 ?!!? Slott and his staff are great on the field coaches and everyone seems to think they’re good at training and player improvement. It has to be asked. Does Richard Hughes know what the hell he is doing ?
I am posting this in the hopes a signing is announced before deadline. But we’re still dragging the Chiesa deal over the line so I doubt it.

Yeah I think on its own the Chiesa deal is a great deal of business. So little money that it’s absolutely worth the risk for the potential return
Just stinks we aren’t gonna do anything else to strengthen the squad
If we can get out of Old Trafford with a point on Sunday I’d say the Slot era has started as good as we could’ve hoped..

We should have had a LCB immediately, how we didn’t address that is criminal. I’m holding off on the 6 criticism since it looks like we did everything possible for Zubi and the player just got the guilt trip. I’ll also say I don’t think that’s over, I wouldn’t be shocked if in January that isn’t revisited.

Easy to be concerned about the lack of a 6, but I’m I like the deal for Chiesa. Slot seems to really want to save legs and this move will help.
Not to mention the guy seems over the moon excited to be a Red. Endearing himself to the fans already.

Did anyone hear Mo state this was his last season with the club? He said he hasn’t discussed next season with management and is prepared to leave.

I don't have any evidence to support this but I just FEEL IT IN MY BONES that Mo would rather stay and finish up his "major" career at Liverpool. If Liverpool make it clear they are not interested then sure, he could well take a big money Saudi offer. But the PL is what made his name internationally known. So far my observation is that the Saudi league is where players have gone to be forgotten because of those that have went there I sure don't hear much about them.
And, personally, considering Mo's continuing excellent conditioning I would be happy enough if the club offered him a 3-year contract to stay. I just love the guy and he's playing as well now as he ever has, just different (still scoring goals but not as many but contributing an ever-growing number of assists).
Unless the club just REALLY REALLY doesn't want him here anymore (and I can't think of a valid reason they wouldn't) and want to let him walk away on a free, then KEEP HIM (not getting my hopes up that they will though).
