It’ll be interesting how we approach Wednesday with a mammoth matchup at Bournemouth on Saturday.

Looks like we are playing all the kids!

There’s two totally different views about playing the kids in this CL match.

(1) I understand resting the 1’s in a near-meaningless match and it would be amazing if the kids could get a result in a CL match against a good club like PSV…

but

(2) if our kids win or tie in a CL match against a good club like PSV, it would further feed the mind-set of the FSG owners that they have no need to spend money on this club.

Not only youth starters but look at the bench too lol.

Gakpo, Chiesa, Harvey, Endo, Tsmikas, and Robbo… then pretty much every other player on the field and on the bench is a youth squad’er.

Hopefully it’ll be fun to watch!

Robbo and Tsimikas playing side by side is what I like most. We can sub on Nallo and Norris and ensure as many players as possible get on the pitch today. Darwin has the flu and that's why Danns got the starting nod.

Well Nallo got his shot today. There will be plenty more for the 18 year old.

Not as much fun as I hoped. Pretty ugly actually.

But not unexpected.

Oh well, Atalanta did good work against Barca and Liverpool retained the 1-seed even with the loss.

We will play PSG, Benfica, Monaco, or Brest in the round of 16

Also, with City, Real and Bayern all in the same playoff group, we cannot meet any of them till the Semis now and we cannot meet Barca before the final

I like the new CL format mainly because it is something different. Usually you already know how most of the groups are going to finish by game 3 of the old 6 game group stage. Kicking all the games on the final day at the same time was a good idea. This new format definitely rewards the top 8 seeds. As it should.

Should Liverpool be worried about this match? Bournemouth walloped the last 2 opponents pretty bad.
