Little more breathing room with a game in hand.

If everyone in the South is having a snow day Tuesday, remember we're playing Champions League vs Lille 2pm central @ Anfield.

Really hope Elliot and Chiesa get more minutes going forward. I’m a huge believer in Harvey

I really want to see what Chiesa has to offer... Looks like Jota is sidelined for a couple of weeks, so that may be an opportunity for him..

Elliot deserves to start against PSV next week. He was electric the second he stepped on the pitch. Every time I looked up in that game it seemed like Dom or Harvey were running at whatever Lille player was on the ball.

The move he made to get a shot today was high quality. He also had an assist ruled out, right?

Chiesa is the real deal. He just needs to convince Arne which I believe is happening, the dude is dangerous.

No Jones, Jota or Gomez tomorrow against Ipswich

I know this has been beaten to death during the Klopp era, but our unwillingness to reinforce from a position of strength (somewhat) is always like living on the edge... We are a key injury or two from our great season, fading into a nothing (no trophies) in the end..

Always seems we just rest on our laurels... "The squad is top of every table, nothing to do here..."

In some seasons its worked out, in others, not so much

edit: Grav's workload scares me the most.. Dom's workmate, while impressive, scares me too... especially, without Jones.. Hopefully, Slot starts to trust Harvey more and rotates where to makes sense

I have a feeling it will be an aggravating game tomorrow with 30 shots and maybe 2 goals.
Ipswich has given up 2, 1, 1, 1, 1, in their last 5 away games.

If we score early, then I could see it being a blowout like what City just did to them, but if we don't put away a goal in the first half, it's going to drag out and be a 1-0, 2-0 game. But 3 points is 3 points.
Hopefully we come out strong and put this game away early.

Not really.. we looked really good and were able to rotate in the 2nd half...

Only blip was their late headed goal to give up the clean sheet...

Salah starts every CL match but I hope he's on the bench this Wednesday
and Chiesa sees his first European start. Due to injuries and suspensions PSV will have 6 players missing out. Slott can get pretty creative with his squad rotations the next few matches. Endo, Morton and Nyoni logging minutes is always a good thing.

It’ll be interesting how we approach Wednesday with a mammoth matchup at Bournemouth on Saturday. They haven’t lost a game since November 23 and their last 2 games were beating Newcastle and Forest by a combined score of 9-1. So they couldn’t be more in form. And they aren’t playing any midweek games so they’re also fully rested

Of course anytime we have this discussion, Slot still starts Mo Grav and VVD no matter what
