Inverting Trent was a nice change when our midfield was overrun and no one there could help connect our defense to attack, but now that we actually have legs and creativity in the midfield I really don’t think it’s necessary
There’s way too much space and holes with the 3-2-2-3 and personally I don’t think it’s just an issue with personnel, I think it’s the system itself

Definitely seems like we will score enough for top 4 but not sure about preventing goals right now. No number 6 and Andy doesn’t fit the new system. Lots of question marks on the defensive side.

Apparently just got rejected for a third time by Southampton for Lavia. Offered 4 mil under. If they end up paying what was set as price, that will be so embarrassing. Could have had him weeks ago at that price.

Yeah, frustrating. Pearce says we are still in talks and will likely work something out. Total waste of time if we end up paying what they were asking from the jump.

Meant to comment on Doak as well. Really hope he gets some 1st team play in cup games this season. He’s so explosive and direct, fun to watch.
