Club america fans threw bottles at the Fire players

Fire missed an absolute sitter in 2nd half. 2 minutes later an own goal that was the final score
They made Zendejas look good, Fire pass worse than US WNT

So glad we set up a tournament to give Mexican fans more opportunities to throw shite on the pitch and cheap shot MLS players. Really moves the game forward!

They will fill MLS stadiums and bring much needed revenue

The attendance for the leagues cup other than the Inter Miami matches and the ones with big Mexican clubs has been awful

This actually isn’t true at all. Attendance has been on par with averages of both leagues regular seasons. Which is very good for a first year event.

Been averaging 17k a game

Did you even read the article you posted?

Average is 17k while both leagues avg 21k+

Take out the big Mexican clubs like I said

The article you posted even proves the best attendance for matches have included larger LigaMX sides.

Chivas, Tigres, Club America, Monterey and Cruz Azul have basically been playing in defacto home games

Without them it hasn’t been great at all

The crew match last night looked empty

The tournament is in a tough spot trying to compete with preseason friendlies which are packed.

Looks like I screwed up by not going to the Minnesota United match last night. Seemed to be a fun one from the score line.

Last night definitely had some shock results

The Crew getting bounced

Leon getting smashed

Also SKC got smashed as well

The end of the Monterey v Timbers match was spicy

Obviously this tournament is a money grab but I’ve found it pretty entertaining and I’m not opposed to seeing it again, although having some fixtures in Mexico would be nice. That said, many of these LigaMX teams are better supported (in the US metro) than their MLS teams so crowd wise I would argue it’s not really a home game for many MLS teams. Chicago vs club America was 95% America fans. Not what I would call home field advantage.

Do you ever get tired of constantly debating in double jeopardy?

Put up a couple games in resort towns in Mexico and try to get some games in iconic venues within the United States like AT&T, Superdome or NRG where it can hold larger crowds.

No lol

There is no reason some of these can’t be played at the Azteca, Tigres, Chivas and Monterey

The superdome would be terrible, fake grass for starters and not a big soccer market

Who are the favorites to make the semis? Per this: LINK Monterrey Club America Philadelphia Pachuca

So all favorites still alive but Pachuca.
Favorite in that section is now Dallas?
