It might be worthwhile to actually post the USMNT's entire WC roster...Instead of just going nuts about Donovan.

Here you go.

This is crazy. But if we get through the group stage, I don't care.

Keeping Eddie Johnson off of the final 30 was a sign that Jurgen was serious about fitness.

Landon Donovan is out of shape. Period.

Out of shape is bs. He has time to get properly conditioned.

He's our Maradona. Who cares about his belly?

Really that's the only plausible explanation, though. Not just that he was out of shape, but that he LET himself get that out of shape with the World Cup on the horizon. I think Jurgen just made a terrible mistake, but Landon let it happen.

I mean, Donovan is an alternate right?

No way he doesn't make it to Brazil in the end, huh?

It's not about the past and what you've done. It's about the now and the future. LD's time is gone, this isn't his team anymore. He chose to take a break and get fat and made JK's decision easier.

I don't even see Landon not being selected as a surprise. He was, by his own fault, not a part of qualifying. He has been out of shape and Jurgan has repeaditly said fitness was a priority. More than likely LD showed up fat and rusty and Jurgan wasn't going to entertain that.

I'm most surprised by Yeldin making it. That makes very little sense to me, unless Jurgan has plans to play him as a winger.

Seriously. Jurgen could have brought Landon and benched him for every minute and i would have been ok with it.

Trying to be positive, but hopefully Davis' left foot on set pieces gets us a goal or two.

4th straight WC for Beasley. I will say Altidore, Dempsey, Johannsson, and Wondo up top gives me a lot more wood than 2010's All-Star lineup of Altidore, Buddle, Findley, and Gomez.

He was likely in shape enough to be a substitute when we need a late goal, which is more value than someone like Yedlin will provide.

LD over Davis

Boyd over Wondo, if Jurgy is taking young guys like Yeldin and Green along for the ride.
