This was the last time we saw Lee Nguyen in a US shirt:

Damn that was a while ago. Almost a Buddle-esque return from the wilderness.

I don't think the argument is that. The argument is Klinnsman has consistently stated he wants guys first at top clubs and second at least in good form with their club.

Instead he calls up an NASL player, a collegiate player, and a teenager that just got back from injury and played 11 mins as a sub.

The problem isn't young guys, its Klinnsman saying one thing and doing another. I'll also put the disclaimer in that I'm not a coach by any means. Just stating what I've observed.

Kyle Beckerman (Real Salt Lake)

T Boyd should be in this lineup.

This also seemed perfect for Hyndman, being at Craven Cottage and all.

If coaches would only set rigid inflexible rules that they followed blindly, I would respect them more.

All of this stuff about setting overall expectations but then judging it on a case-by-case basis is for losers.

I've placed you in the "I care more about what a coach says to the media, than I do about his on the field results" camp.

Hyndman is with the U20s.

Glad to see Rubin. He's been starting and playing 90 minutes every game for Utrecht in the 10 position.

The point of these games is to experiment and see new guys. Saying shite like this lineup is a sackable offense is just... off.

Johannsson just got back from injury and so did Boyd. Green's injury was minor.

Guys like Wondo and Beasley are there for their experience, I'm sure.

Would still like to see Lichaj get a call up.

I'm not complaining

I just stated what the issue was. I'm pro-Klinnsman

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't Boyd been injured for quite a while? Maybe he's letting him get more practice with his club team at this time.

There's a reason Ibarra falmed out at one MLS club and no other ones are giving him a second look. It aggravates me that Jurgen doesn't see this and is wasting call up spots.

I'm willing to give Jurgen the benefit of the doubt here. We don't have an abundance of natural wingers, and Ibarra didn't cut it in MLS a few years ago but would obviously do so today. I don't see it as a waste of a call up and I'm sorry that you do. Is Jordan Morris also a waste?

If you're going to complain about anyone complain about Wood, who has been benched by a bundesliga 2 side in the relegation zone and hasn't scored a goal since May 2013. Andrew Wooten, who didn't get a call up, has scored five goals in the same league this season.

There was a story on MLSsoccer.com when Ibarra got that first call up where a handful of anonymous GM's were interviewed and they basically took repeated shits on Ibarra's game.

Link me. But in any case you really think that not a single team wants to take a flyer on him? Article or not I disagree. I bet New York 2 and Orlando would both be happy to have his services. Also, no rebuttal to the other call ups? Or are you just perturbed by Ibarra for some reason and don't really care if there are other odd roster selections?

Do you really want my overall thoughts on the roster or are you just being a smartass?

How am I being a smart arse? I'm trying to figure out why Ibarra bothers you more than other selections that are objectively worse.

Well, you have to consider the source.

He never saw the pitch for the Timbers. Thus, in your expert estimation, at the terribly advanced age of 23, he is forever worthless and should be completely written off. Check.
