Is there a better atmosphere than Anfield, in English football, when at its peak?

One of my favorite matches of the season. Crowd was lit.

Anfield certainly gives the Etihad a run for its money on those cold European Champions League nights.

To be fair, that wasn’t hard... that was pretty easy..

I still don’t get it though...

Yeah I’ve always heard that. Would be fun to catch a game there someday.

I'm going to vote Selhurst, even though I've never been to any English ground, like the vast majority of this board. (And those that have probably haven't been to enough to make a completely fair judgment.)

But that ain't gonna stop us from getting these posts off.

I’ve been to a frick ton of grounds in England

So I’ve got the experience to back up what I say

Liverpool is definitely good but gets made fun of bc of all the tourist from Norway and Asia along with almost no scouse accents anymore especially with so many London based fans.

All the big clubs have the tourist fans but this romance of Anfield isn’t what it used to be.

Is fricking lit

Rocks for every match no matter who they play

I had a blast when I went there, it’s definitely an old school ground that desperately needs some upgrades, which will be coming soon.

I can't even imagine a big European match. Kind of makes me hopeful of a UCL derby.....even though I'd probably die from stress leading it up to it.

The one City match off the top of my head that was fricking rocking was Barca in the group stage last year. I know the Etihad has a horrible reputation, especially for midweek games, but that place was going insane during that match.

The Manchester Derby for the league cup was insane

Especially with 7k City fans there.

But when I went to the NW derby back in 2016 that shite was on a whole different level

Punching horses outside does not contribute to the atmosphere inside the stadium.
