Yep, Bradley and Jozy being hurt had nothing to do with it. It's all Landon's fault.

You been Googling like a motherfricker.

I was wondering where our goals were going to come from without Landon, so I looked up our qualifying info.

I knew he missed time, but I had forgotten how small a role he played.

Dempsey had 7 goals, EJ had 4. Evans and Orozco had 1 each.

Damn, we should have taken Eddie Johnson then if WCQ goals mattered so much.

And for Sheep, where is Alan Gordon? Let's not forget that last minute assist.

In Landon's first game back from vacation, the US played its worst game, losing 3-1 to Costa Rica

Game 1: USA 3 - A&B 1
Bocanegra goal on Donovan corner (after deflection)
Dempsey PK on Donovan's drawn penalty
Gomez goal, off of Donovan's creation

Enjoy

Game 2:
USA 1 - Guatemala 1
Dempsey goal, F. Johnson assist, Donovan makes the play to spring Johnson.

Enjoy

Game 3 - Costa Rica 3 - USA 1
Horrific defending gives up two goals on the road in the first ten minutes. Probably Donovan's fault, right?

Game 4: USA 2 - Mexico 0
Donovan Assist on E. Johnson goal
Donovan goal

Enjoy

Game 5: USA 2 - Jamaica 0
Subbed at half

And wrecked shop in the 2013 Gold Cup

Enjoy

But keep frickin' that chicken, buddy. You and Jurgen have it all figured out.

You know who didn't play in that Costa Rica game? Michael Bradley.

Also, what is this two episode shite? I thought there was only the third episode tonight. It started with some weird arse parade thing and finished with the Azerbaijan friendly. Was there another 30 minute episode before that or something?

Yeah, the 30 minute episode before that was basically all about the Landon cut.

Does this mean I missed 30 minutes if I had the DVR set on record for the series or would it catch both?

Sheep is there actually a rule that you have to be an a-hole?

And you didn't refute anything. I didn't say Donovan wasn't one of our best players. He took himself out of the picture. That's on him but JK takes all the blame from the same guys like you who showed him no mercy when he was having to piece together a team just to make the hex.

And lol at you claiming anybody else is biased. You've been crying about Jurgen from day one. And when the US was doing so well under him, I don't remember you saying much at all. Now you get to come out and talk shite again. Yay for you.

JK is taking blame for being hypocritical in his selection. For every thing that he listed as a reason for omitting Donovan, you can point to a player that is on the 23.

Sure, it sucks that Donovan didn't make the squad, but I'm largely over the sadness. What worries me is that our coach is clearly being publicly dishonest and caught in the wake is a player that has done more for soccer in this country than he has at this point.

On top of that, he is not showing much tact about it with his tweet the day after the selection that said how great of an achievement it is for DMB to play in 4 WC's. Plus, the comment released yesterday where he said how many other coaches probably would've taken Donovan.

This is a very volatile situation and instead of trying to minimize, it almost seems like he is fanning the flames.

AND clearly makes the team better when he is in the team.

I don't know which of those two is more important or if it really matters.

Well gee I wonder who downvoted that fantastic post by Sheep showing that Donovan actually did contribute to our WCQ campaign.

Landon had every right to abandon the team when they needed him. Jurgen has every right to build the team he believes in.

Why? The stats are cherry picked and don't even tell 30% of the real picture.

Reference Sheep's post up above.

uway has been a contrarian Klinsmann fanboy about this decision.

Then this should help:

Donovan has scored more World Cup goals than Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie combined.

Just read it in a Brit paper.
