I'm pretty upset about this outcome

The fact that the Netherlands and Germany border each other would have made a great storyline. I don't know why I have such a strong dislike for South America in general, but I would have much preferred a Western European final.

Final and 3rd place matches would have been better. Now boring arse Argentina will ruin what could have been a fun final.

Argentina winning on Brazilian soil is pretty funny.

I was pulling for the Netherlands after they kicked the shite out of Spain but I started to hate them more and more each game after that. Plus I picked Argentina to win it all so go Messi

Yeah that would have been a good story. I like the story though of Brazil spending $11 billion on the World Cup having riots over it, getting crushed by Germany then maybe having spent all that money to possibly have Argentina win it. That would be interesting to watch.

I wouldn't have liked an all European final or an all south American final nearly as much as this. Having a south American team play a European team makes for a pretty interesting match for me. Two powerhouse teams from the two most powerfull soccer playing continents.

Same as 1978. The Dutch would have won, but Cruyff didn't play due to kidnapping threats to his children. First WC I was aware of.

Honestly, Brazil has done a very good job with this World Cup. Rio has been impressive. How much did they make so far (I assume they lost some, but not all of the $11 billion).

There were so many military police when Brazil "played" the other day. It was twice as much or more as almost every other day.

I think the Brazilians may be torn. They might hate Argentina. But I think some part of them would like to see an American (and South American specifically) team win.
