I'm leaving the match. Had just removed my balaklava and I pass 3 Mexicans. One of them, a big, ugly, fat one, decided he didn't like me, so he started yelling at me in Spanish. I walk by and get punched in the back of the head. Lose vision for a little bit (I've had a large number of concussions and get massive headaches, so I'm at a high risk with shots to the head). Then I see this bastard laughing with his friends right by a security guard. Security guy tells me he would arrest him, but it's the end of the game so there's no reason to.

Other fan related things:

The people in my section were 60-40 Mexican. The Americans decided to stay quiet the whole match. I wasn't. The Mexican chant (which was kind of like their Rocky Top, it was done constantly) started to annoy me. I then found that it fit perfectly to 'yeah, you're right, the border is that way.' So I got the AO people a section over to start chanting that with me.

I also made fun of the Mexican salute during their anthem (the Hitler thing).

Fan who rushed the field was awesome. See my post in the match thread.

Also, scumbag Mexicans threw stuff at Landon when he left the field to go to the locker room.

Damn...sorry man, that sucks. But now that weak bitch of a security guard has me feeling unfulfilled because he was too scared to confront the illegal.

After hearing stories like this (and worse from the Gold Cup in Pasadena) I think it's time for AO to take a "firm" stand against violence at US v Mexico matches...think Headhunters or Inter City.

Had a quasi-similar experience at the gold cup semis at reliant (saw a USA fan get pushed down the stairs then get thrown out only because stadium security "didn't want to start trouble (with the the Mexican fans)", sorry to hear about that

Maybe US soccer can get together with NASCAR and said if you go to a us-Mexico match you automatically get free tickets to talledaga?
Problem solved

So, you don't think they'd mind then if I initiated a New Orleans chapter with the sole, unspoken purpose of introducing hooliganism to US soccer? I mean, this shite has got to stop. And since the cops and security guards are too scared to step in, who better than a group of vigilante "outlaws"?

I was at the game in Pasadena. It was horrible. I didn't see or experience some of the very worst of it (people being hit or peed on), but I did get beer thrown on me and I was constantly taunted and cursed at. I'm pretty sure the security there was all laid-off wal-mart employees. I hope that describes their look and motivation adequately.

And yeah, frick Mexico.

Wait, so you made fun of their national anthem and told them to run for the border, and you wonder why you got punched in the back of the head.?

Sorry you got punched but thats funny.

I think it's a grand idea. You know those messicans would shite if a big group of Americans decided they'd had enough.

Smack talk is "talk". It should not turn into fisticuffs. Especially cheap shots on an outnumbered party. On the brightside, the subject of this thread would make a great title for a country song. Toby Keith maybe?
