If you have DirecTV, it's on GolTV. Don't know if many cable companies or Dish has it.

You can be happy about winning the CL without being a dick about it.

Played to your strengths? 9 in the box is one of your strengths? That's interesting. I would think most teams could defend if they played like that.

Seriously, packing the box is not playing to your strengths. That did make me laugh though, so thank you.

Bayern was clearly better than Manchester City, the champions of England, in the group stage. How could the runner up from such a shitty league dominate the Champs of the best league evar?

Ok, that was not just you. It's just that this turned from a "only follow one team" to "everyone's a bandwagon" to "Bayern vs. Chelsea" to "everyone hates Chelsea" in the span of a couple of hours. But you had some help.

I'm just saying, if you are a "better" or "more loyal" than the rest of us because you sell your soul to one club in the world, that's pretty freaking elitist. But at least you're ok with it.

That's funny I got hooked on Chelsea by playing Winning Eleven back in 06 after the WC. Bunch of friends would hang out and they'd all want to be Barca or Real or I think it was Man Red (United the game couldn't afford to buy all team name rights ). I likes playing with London Blue and their unstoppable striker Drogba. Started watching bits and pieces 06-07 and joined a hogville soccer thread that helped me learn about various tourneys and other noob questions. By the next year I knew more about the game and got fox soccer so I could watch more games. No rhyme or reason just liked the team and now they're behind the Hogs and USMNT on my list of fandom.

Winning Eleven is now Pro Evolution Soccer (I think), and they still name clubs like that. Kinda like how FIFA doesn't hold the rights to Brazilian and Italian leagues.

Dude for the last three/four years you have given Chelsea fans tons of shite about never winning the CL and posted dozens of pictures of John Terry crying in the rain. So you are out of your mind if you don't expect to get some of it back when Chelsea does win one vs. your team in your city with your idol missing the crucial penalty.

Yea defending like hell and being ruthless when an opportunity presents itself.

I didn't see Stoke in the CL final.

The better question is how could a team like Bayern not win such a shitty league? Dortmund finished easily in last in a group with Arsenal, Marseille, and Olimpiacos.

They switched to pro eve after winning eleven 11. By the time I switched to FIFA they had most of EPL teams I think.

Stoke could easily win one game against a far superior side by packing the box. The cream rises to the top in a league but in one game, anything can happen if one team plays everyone on defense.

Dortmund got off to a slow start and didn't have enough depth for the Bundesliga and CL and they wouldn't rest players in the Bundesliga.

BvB is easily a better team than Chelsea.

I would say lack of experience on that stage was huge. Klopp and the boys had never been there. Wenger has gotten to the knockouts more than any other manager in his time. Dortmund is going to be a force in the UCL next season.

So only German teams are allowed to have excuses?

Barca can have the passing trophy, you guys can have the shots and corners trophy, and BvB can have the best team on paper trophy. I guess we'll have to settle for Ol' Big Ears.

You do have a point. If it were the Serie A champion that had flamed out of Europa and CL for 2 straight years you'd never hear the end of it.

However, the reason Glassman gave is pretty valid. They're a lot more comparable to a Napoli where depth is a huge issue compared to the richest teams like Bayern.

I'd add that Dortmund seemed to be completely thrown off their game by teams like Marseilles (and probably Olimpiacos but I didn't see those matches) which didn't give their attackers the space they're probably used to in the Bundesliga. That's where the inexperience of playing in Europe likely hurt them the most from what I saw.

So what about the 2 leg parts. Is that luck as well?

ETA:Randy is right about the amount of shite Chelsea fans take on here. It's always you can spend money and never win. You will never win CL.....in fact almost every round of the CL, we were told we would fail. Bottom line is we didn't and yeah as a supporter, I'm going to gloat a little bit!!!!!

Final was 2 legs?

I really do not care about the result anymore. The only thing that was getting old was the amount of ignorance being spewed.

Enjoy the Champions League title, seriously. I have no ill feelings, all fans get picked on here for random shite.

Looks like the Bayern board is planning to open up the purse strings and make another run at a title next season. They're looking to buy Dzeko but refuse to pay his ridiculous wages that Man City paid him.

So when Bayern wins the title next year, I'll email you a picture of my balls every day.

I'll give you credit...

I didnt think there was anyway possible you would get past Napoli after the first leg... and then surely you would not get past Barca... The one game final was more a toss up, though the smart money was on Bayern in Munich...

It was a cindarella-ish story...

Results are all that matter in professional sports. Were the Giants better than the Patriots when Eli beat Brady? Of course not. They were better THAT day. You should gloat and be proud.

Chelsea retains the greatest trophy in professional sports. Congrats. It made me a little quesy to actually say and post it, but it is a fact. As an Arsenal supporter, we have been so close I can taste it. Maybe one day.
