Never. Not even a yellow. But then again I never played youth or high school just Pub leagues.

I only got one yellow (in high school) for a tackle in the box against our rival. They scored on the PK, but we won the game. I recently got a blue card for yelling at the ref as a goalie in indoor in an adult league.

Specific to indoor. Similar to a power play in hockey. You have to sit out for 2 minutes and your team has to play a man down for those 2 minutes.

ETA: Harsher than a yellow card, but not as bad as a red.

Only one direct red- several double yellows over the years. Plenty of yellows, especially now that I play defense.

Senior year in high school I got three reds. The third was kinda early in the season too, we were playing Central Lafourche. I thought I made a legit play on the ball, but watched the tape later and I wasn't even close, so it was a good call by the ref.

Used to be, after your third red, you were gone for the season. but luckily one of the refs didn't turn the red they gave me so I was able to keep playing that season.

The other two were kinda crappy, one was in a tournament against Barbe, the ref wasn't calling anything it seamed and after I was getting hacked by this one guy I finally turned around and threw a shoulder into him. Got a yellow but I talked back to the ref and told him to frick off so got the red. The other was against St. Paul's in their tournament, I got a second yellow for jumping in front of a free kick. Ref said I moved inside ten yards. Worst red card I ever got.

I may have had a slight attitude problem back then.

I've had tons of yellows.

That last red has always stuck in my mind though. It reminds me that during the play you might see things differently than they actually are. In my mind, I was shoulder to shoulder with the guy and made a decent play for the ball. After watching the tape, I was a step or two behind him and just flat out hacked him from behind.

When i was younger i was really pissed of with the ref (home temas PE teacher) as he was ridiculously biased...tried my arse of to get sent of - outside of punching someone - but as i was about 13 they never gav me a card

Since then never even been booked, recreational refs are alot more leinant

In something that *shocks* everyone that plays with me when I tell them..... I have not.

I wouldn't be shocked if I average a yellow per game, though. My mouth, and penchant for cynical tackles will do that.

I've watched twenty years of shitty CONCACAF soccer, so I've seen (and applied) every dirty trick in the book. That said, I know my boundaries and I know referee boundaries, so I'll skirt the line without hurting my team by getting sent off.

I probably bait at least one poor bastard a season into a red card, trying to get their shots in on me. I've had people want to fight me on and off the field, before, during and after games, and I've suffered some really shitty challenges.

Comes with the territory, I guess.

Twice. Playing a game my junior year in high school and the field was soggy and nasty and it was still sprinkling. Frustration was high and this one mid for the other team kept taking shots at our forwards. Finally spilled over when our captain passed off and the guy slid into him, cleat to knee, a good 5 seconds after the pass. Clearly malicious. Our captain got up and his knee was cut and he just went off on the guy. A couple others got involved and I got hit breaking it up so I (stupidly) swung back. Sent off and a 1 game suspension. We had 4 guys suspended one game, they had 4 and the guy that slid got a season suspension.

2nd time was totally justified. We were getting our asses smoked and some little 5'6" fricker was talking shite to me. I slide tackled him a few times (totally legit, hit the ball each time and got it to my guy) then he "inadvertently" hit my nuts. So the next time I just barrelled into him between him and the ball. He fell back and acted like I broke his spine. Got sent off.

I'm pretty sure we haven't played each other.

But if this was me, I apologize.

Played center back got sent off a few times. A couple were bullshite the rest were legit (I guess).

One time, the other team kicked the ball out quite obviously I was behind him and he shielded the ball and kicked it out as I got closer. So I went to get the ball and he wouldnt hand it over. Little did I know the ref called it for them, so he jammed the ball in my chest and spit on me. So I told him to go frick himself and chucked it at his face. My teammates were pissed at first cause they thought I was just being John Terry.... Told 'em what happened and they asked why I didnt fight him.

I would get yellows all the time, like once a game pretty much, because I would play very physical. I only got a red one time. A guy slide tackled me from behind and I got up, grabbed him by his jersey and threw him down...not my finest moment I'll admit. I'm good friends with the guy now though, funny how things work out

I want to know how you guys became friends after that.

Many yellows, no reds. But I've only played 5-12 and then in rec leagues and indoor and stuff.

Worst I've gotten was a blue card in indoor, where you sit out for five minutes. I usually am pretty chill in indoor games, but this guy intentionally punched me in the balls toward the end of a game. Ref called a foul, and as we set up for a free kick, the guy turned his back. I kicked the ball as hard as I could, hit him square in the back of the head.

frick concussions. I will never regret it.
