I think you need to separate his tweet from the issue at hand. The issue is that BBC selectively disciplines the political social media posts of its employees. That's what this is really about, not so much the content of what he said.

It's probably relative to how ridiculous the comment is. The tired old "I don't like it, so they're Nazis" is the laziest, lamest, most hyperbolic comment only a true dunderhead would utter. The type of garbage you expect to see from blue hair hipster on Twitter, not someone representing a supposed respected news institution.
