How is the first goal his fault? Every defender stopped running. The second goal, he was shoved in the back and Ibisevic was offside, third goal he needs to do better but Dzeko does that shite to everyone.

Agreed on Brooks although not for the second goal. That was on Cameron.
Still he needs to get cap tied in the next cycle or at the latest, in the Jamaica game.

im most concerned about the psycho managing sunderland.
i think they are either going to do really good or really bad if that makes sense. like a mid 2000s everton team. either sneak into the top 6 or finish just outside the drop zone.

Crystal ball going to Columbus, but Ohio State isn't going to bring it.

US went to Europe without Dempsey or Landycakes and faced a FIFA top 15 opponent which has not lost at home in years, had won 8 of 9 with a draw and had managed 5 clean sheets in their previous 6 matches .
US trailed 2-0 at half and still won!
Ponder that sh!t and savor it.

Napa sponsors the Mexican National Team? That's it I'm never doing business with them again.

Literally could not have said it better.
It was Brooks' first international game and he was going against one of the best in the whole world. And he had a couple mental lapses, but he was bringing it to Dzeko. He didn't back down ever, and add that with his physical presence and holy Hell I'm excited about him.

like Dzeko who we faced today, or maybe someone like Benteke?
He's not as good as Benteke but he'll probably net about 12 for Sunderland this year.

Evans is a solid 6 every game, pretty similar to how Dolo has been for a long time
Dolo was always better than a 6 IMO

Honestly, that 2010 roster looks pretty good outside of the depth at forward. Our biggest problem was Bob relying on his favorites in key games, especially Clark ad the one who I will not name.

My exact thoughts watching the gold cup dominance, with essentially a "B" team plus Landyshades. The fact that we could even field a "B" team that could not only compete but dominate is what was so telling. We have legit depth now, and we also have some world class talent now. Fun times.

Guys, we're not going to lose a game ever again.
Posted on 8/14/13 at 3:59 pm to ScoopAndScore
I will go ahead and say it. If the World Cup was held next month, I believe the US could be like 1998 Croatia, 2002 Turkey, or 1994 Bulgaria.
I hope I feel the same way in 9 months,

It's not terrible, but I think the depth at forward and midfield isn't close to what we have now. Plus we have a lot of guys really hitting their stride and getting to top form. Of course this could just be the high from the win

I said arguably. He let dzeko slip in after EJs horrible giveaway. He also had the opportunity to clear Dzekos second shot off the line, but he fell asleep. Just to be clear I don't think any goal was 100% on him and I thought he had a solid debut overall.

I didn't get to see the game but I remember Brian Sciaretta (think that's his name) tweeting something about how many more goals per game we've been scoring with Fabian at LM, and I'm guessing that's where he was again in the second half. Not saying he was responsible for it (obviously Jozy had a great game and it seems like Bradley was involved in a lot of it), but it's an interesting statistic and the sample size is getting bigger.

It could also be EJ is awful at LM. I think just replacing him and switching to a 4-4-2 made all the difference. No slight to Fabian who is awesome and had a great game but I don't think he gives us much at LM that Landon wouldn't
