Yeah, after playing the demo, I was pretty indifferent to the two as I hadn't played FIFA on my PS3 in a while. After playing the early release on PS3, I was very grateful to have purchased FIFA for the PC.

Had a few goalkeepers let a rebound bounce straight back towards the PK spot with shots that you would think they would have latched on to, sometimes just having a crack with active forwards running in works.

I've played a few online and still getting used to the passing. I get knocked off the ball constantly without a foul being called which is the one frustrating thing.
I also run some Manager Mode and I feel like defending is really hard at times. On World Class it just seems like the computer scores goals that aren't defensible, such as balls over the top of my computer controlled back line. I try to keep possession Barca style with a 2nd half lead as "defense".

No joke, I was getting thrown off the ball yesterday and no foul. It's as if collisions are okay as long as you don't press B or X. Even if you end up flung to the ground and slide 10 ft away (slight exaggeration).

i've been really busy and haven't had a chance to pick up the retail copy yet. What's the verdict on the patches? Have they fixed the super slow menus that existed in the early release version?

I've run into a few of these instances. My player will just barely bump a guy who is running STRAIGHT at him...and I get a card.

Fast players just don't exist (unless it's a computer CH able to chase down a winger on the break...)

Agreed. It's a pain in the arse getting caught from behind by computer defenders with reus, blast, and other wings/forwards on my FUT team

Disagree here, I think it's just fine.
My second biggest gripe in this game is how well the computer can shield your defenders off the ball no matter how strong or bad they are. It's almost impossible to win a tackle. I also find that 90% of my won tackles go straight back to the computer's team.

but the absolute worst part of 14 is when a player just sits there, a ball coming right at him, and does nothing. even under user control, just sits there.
ive been able to adjust to most of my previous issues, but this one just reeks of half-assed development, like the manager mode interface. i never had issues in 11 or 12 where i said to myself "frick this game is whack." i do it all the time in 14.

I play seasons a shitload also, just got promoted to 8, on my way up. Got up to 2nd division on 13, but could never break out.

I don't like playing the tournament teams or wasting fitness cards to try out new squads. Playing a friend's squad gives me a player built team to try out new things with without wasting anything.
