I've never really a fan of English football in general. I watch it on occasion along with bigger matches from most of the better leagues.

However, that the EPL has become so ubiquitous in the US -- often at the expense of better football -- kind of turns me off though.

In fact, this board was a bit more entertaining when all the discussion wasn't quite so EPL exclusive.

I agree that some of the other leagues offer more exciting play except for Liverpool because they are amazing to watch. Both Madrid squads are fantastic to watch and same with Roma. Real Madrid is my team to watch and they are pretty much my favorite squad, but mostly due to Ronaldo.

I do not mind the EPL discussion when it is about games, but I hate when this board gets obsessed about John Terry, Luis Suarez, parking the bus, Mourinho, etc.

I agree but also really am not bothered that people want to discuss the EPL hot button topics you mention.

However, when they get about 95% of the discussion (here but also on other US dominated boards and also in bars etc) whereas any post/comment about something that's not EPL centric hardly draws a response, it's easy to just want to tune out the EPL completely.

Even the match day threads here seldom even mention non EPL matches these days.

Again, it's not saying that I wish there were less EPL discussion but that it seems that there used to be a bit more knowledge of other leagues.

Definitely bandwagon, but I've taken a liken to PSG.

He supposedly has both a group of American investors and also a PSG related group close to buying Cagliari.

In the meantime, I'd suspect he tries to move some of Cagliari's prospects to Leeds like Ibarbo, Eriksen etc. . .

Think that FOX will half arse it just because that's just what they do. Don't think it'll be terrible, though, because they seem to at least throw a decent amount of money things.

I really like beIN and would love it if they had the clout of someone like FOX, NBC to force providers to give them better access. In my opinion, beIN is what Gol could have been if they actually gave a shite/had the financial backing of a someone like Al Jazeera since they seem to have embraced the role of giving lesser covered (in the US) leagues/games really solid coverage. If beIN could pick up some of Gol's/FOX's South American/Central American rights, I'd be really happy. A network like beIN is where less popular leagues here belong. Still can't believe that ESPN started throwing their Spanish-language La Liga feeds on English-language channels w/o an SAP option towards the end of their La Liga rights.
