I’m not the most prolific soccer watcher admittedly — but is a red not a little excessive there? I understand giving the PK and a yellow. But he did get the ball first on that challenge. I thought that used to be one of the principal considerations. It was a bit reckless but I’m sort of surprised it was a red.

Was the red card leveled b/c he went in with both legs?

I’m fairly new as well but it doesn’t take a lot of contact for it to be a red and that was bad contact by soccer standards. Easy call on the red.

The red was 100% the right call. That challenge is an ankle breaker.
