The MLS has had a great season attendance wise. I think it is hard to compare a sport with over 100 games/season to a sport with 34 games/season.
I think it is telling that MLS had a higher average attendance than NBA. That's awesome.

Gmorgan ... what the hell are the 'Stros up to? God it kills me to watch them struggle. Is the new ownership going to do anything? Was hoping they might be like the Rays. New ownership took a bit but built from farm system. Oh well.

I think a lot of soccer's gain has to do with the MLB and NBA slipping. I'm a huge Pelicans fan, but I rarely watch a NBA game not involving them. Nobody wants to watch a handful of super-best friend club teams alternate winning the title ever year. As for the MLB, I think a lot of people are getting fed up with the steroids scandals. It's getting to the point to where it's assumed that everyone is cheating.

Go spend some time in England, Scotland, etc and look at the trash that follows that sport...
It is somehow amazing the only thing worse than this sport is Chavs in Europe who follow it or the "oh look I am cool i have a soccer jersey" US teenagers that follows that crap sport...

The fact that sports such as rugby, Aussie Rules, etc are not shown more is just another sign in the pussification of the US...
