I been watching swag since his inter days and hes one of my favorite players.

Swag is so much fun, but Mourinho had enough of him at Inter. He is what he is, a supremely talented player that often times just doesn't give a frick. I really hope he gets it together because he will be fun to watch. Welbeck will do the dirty work and should flourish with playing time and creativity from Arsenal's midfield.

Surprised? Mou is an absolute twat. His players either loathe him or love him. Ballo was on the wrong side of that line.

'm not a balo fan (as far as his on the pitch performance goes). Probably judge him too harshly, but I hate his game. I don't like welbeck's game either, but more versatility and less risk...I'm a little risk averse.hopefully we will have both struck gold.

What separates the two is for alot of people is Balo can do magic with the ball and thats all they see.

I agree though I wouldn't even just call simply "lazy"

He'll usually work relatively hard on the pitch but when he flips out it's more a little kid that doesn't want to do something but their parents make them so they go through the motions in the most obviously fricked way possible.

I will say to my Liverpool friends here that, I love Mario and have no team preference in the EPL so I truly would love nothing more than to see him become the best player in the league and then lead Italy to the next Euro title.

However, all the reasons given for why this next Balotelli chance will be so different seem too simlar to the reasons Milan then Italian NT fans have given when really there's probably little aside from just something that has to click in his head and hopefully will just due to him getting older.

So you mean every fricking manager he has played for. Don't give me that shite already since hes now a Liverpool player. When shite goes south just like before hate to say we told you so.

That and goals. Minor issue.

Just a little bonus is his set pieces... he can replace Suarez in that regard.. Granted, Stevie will take PKs, but he is a stud at that too, if needed...

His ability to play on the wing, drop deep... I think he'll get on well with Studge and Sterling...

Eh, I think he's walked into the perfect situation. A manager that will treat him like an adult and give him respect (never experienced that before), and a team that isn't a complete dumpster fire.

They are two totally different players.

Nice to see the only people in here trying to down play Welbeck's talents are scousers

Who's being bitter? He'll be fine. The shite he gets is so overblown its laughable. He's still young and his own teammates have come out and attested to how much he's grown lately. I know you're threatened, but saying Danny Welbeck is in any way comparable is just silly (outside of the Arsenal system argument).

He's a little low on the totem pole and new in the team dynamic to do either right now even when Gerro leaves

and why else sign Lambert but to take PK's

I don't doubt we'll see some of that side to him from time to time... Sturridge also came with a bad reputation from a couple of big clubs, but he has worked out so well for us... I know their reputations are apples and oranges, but like I said, he's ours now and all I can do is hope he comes good... In the end, if he doesn't, he'll be gone...

I never said they were comparable. Swag is awesome but you guys are defending him to the core already with your Liverpool inferiority complex.

People are just saying with what Welbeck can do in other aspects of the game is a reason they would want him over Swag. Nothing more nothing less. Just read the thread.

Really? The people defending him are Arsenal and United fans. Color me shocked. No one else has been overly impressed by him. Is he a good player? Absolutely. Does the have the potential to turn it on at Arsenal and move to the next level? Absolutely.

Based on what we've seen is it silly to say he's better than Mario in a vacuum? Absolutely.

Well, he would have to be in the game ahead of Balotelli to take them.. Lambert was brought in to give us a different look in games, when our original tactics aren't working... exactly what he did against Man City that let us finally pull one back and threaten on a few others...

If people actually watch United games and understand the game and see what he can do, then you can tell he is more than just a mid table striker *cough cough*

I'm not going to say he's garbage by any means, but Welbeck isn't in the same league as Balotelli.

Balotelli is fricking phenomenal when he's on his game. I agree though, he CAN get a little "off". I hesitate to call it lazy because I don't think he just gives up. Maybe frustrated would describe it better? He just lets his emotions get the best of him at times, for better or worse.
