interesting development. I've long been concerned about his PT for this upcomming season. I don't think there's any doubt it was going to be cut drastically.

As a Spurs fan, I'm okay with this. I didn't like his PT situation. And he was kind of a weird fit.
It reminded me of the Jeremy Lin move for the Rockets. Almost just a move to make a move.

Yeah he doesn't really fit in as long as Bale is still there.
Haven't really thought about him going to Everton, but that would be a good move imo.

Lambert wouldn't be interested in any of those players. I don't see a deal getting done with spurs personally.

This post in the SBI comments section kind of summed things up well:

I think he’ll stay on and be used as a super sub and covering for the wingers when injury hits, but I just don’t see him being deployed as a starter in Spurs new system.

I think we would all rather see him getting regular playing time at another club but at least he will see some time as a sub and rotation player if he stays at Spuds.

Dempsey would likely lose the armband if he is nothin more than a super sub leading to the WC.
