Lavia plus Caicedo is a huge fricking day.

And to be honest, if we are getting Lavia and Caicedo, it’s probably best for all parties that we aren’t signing Adams.

Maybe it was just the whole team imploding but he was definitely underwhelming for the price tag.

Are you talking about Caicedo? Because almost everyone is underwhelming for that price tag. But Chelsea could really use him, and he’s one of very few we could sign right now that inspires genuine confidence.

No, I was talking about Enzo.

Im feeling Adams injury was the issue. If he isnt close to being fit, then signing him doesnt make much sense since we need midfielders asap. Hes good enough to have been signed by now by any number of prem clubs, so something is up.

and I dont see the point mortgaging the future on press resistent midfielder destroyers. just find some bodies there until we know we dont need to spend another 160m on a ST or winger.

just play Santos and go find a 40m Jon Obi Mikel somewhere.

Reports that Adams is out for 4 more months so that killed the deal.

115£ is a ton for a defensive mid but it’s such a big need.

Just get whatever deal done so we can have some confidence on what this squad looks like for the season.

I wouldn’t hate bringing back Felix on loan as a stop gap. Need a #10.

I’m about to walk from my hotel to the Chelsea-Liverpool match. This will be my first pro soccer game. Looking forward to it.

young guys are going to make mistakes but they are playing hard

Agreed. Effort and more athleticism makes Blues more competitive. Some shaky shite from Gomez (who will be a problem), Gallagher inconsistency, and lack of anything from Sterling are concerns but overall I am pleased.

Gallagher inconsistency,

im not a huge fan, but he was great today. he is not a 6 but did an immense job ball winning and sheilding the defense. had some shaky moments receiving out from the back but for a player stepping up in an unfamiliar role Gallagher had a good showing.

enzo looked like a 100m player today. just needs to not have sterling as his outlet.

I don’t know who that is or much about soccer, but I went to the Chelsea-Liverpool match. It ended 1-1 and was exciting for a soccer game. Two goals were overturned, one for each team. And a couple of shots hit the posts.

If the Saints were playing an NFL regular season game, or LSU was playing an SEC game, and it was that close, the atmosphere would have been much more exciting. The Chelsea fans were drips. I was underwhelmed.

Figured that would be a tough ticket- kudos to you. I’ll get to the Bridge one day.

You’re comparing a sport that plays 10 seconds at a time vs a sport with a running clock and no stops.

that second half run by jackson was stellar but mudryk got carried away and needs to slow down a bit

you can see where this squad is going and they will be dangerous in the coming years

not making Europe play sucks but the bright side is the team will be focused on EPL only which will be good for such a young group, I hope

Not the worst thing…won’t have as heavy of a midweek schedule so hopefully we can be healthier through the year.

We’ve completely remade the squad…pretty fascinating seeing so many new faces.

Caicedo deal rumored complete for 115£.

There are still 30+ players in the squad. European football would’ve given most of those guys time on the pitch. Still need to offload some guys before the window closes, especially if we keep adding and it doesn’t look like we’re done adding.
