This state sponsored shite is getting out of control. Can't wait for the Chinese league to crash, but wages like this causes a huge issue for MLS to get DPs.

Anyone have any idea about the tax structure in China? I mean, if he's paying french level taxes that does take some of the shine off of it. But if he's just paying like 10%...damn son.

Quick question, since were talking about wages.
Are their wages based on a 52 week pay period? Or are they paid just during their season(camp to end of season?).
I know Sports athletes here, get paid based on a 52 week pay period, with some getting paid bi-weekly( or used 2). Had a buddy at a bank, he used to tell me the checks he would deposit, from guys like Brett Hull, Pujols, etc.
Back in 90's the hockey guys got paid bi-weekly, which shocked me. Figured they got a weekly check.

China's personal income tax is higher than the US I believe. US top bracket is just under 40% and China is 45%.

Hopefully this results in more MLS teams poaching young South American players rather than older Euro based players. Atlanta United knows what's up.

This is bc China as a country has decided to become a footballing nation and is using these state owned teams to do it. Not also forget the absurd amount of money it's government is dumping into youth development.

Good question. I kind of wish it was. They added the Chinese national team last year. They were like an Asian Canada basically.
