I'm still salty about not qualifying. Nothing will ever justify that. Also, comparing European qualifying to CONCACAF is a joke. Arenas is an arse.
Rant over - He has to say the politically correct thing and somewhat stick up for his players/staff. Blaming the public and media for their reasonable outrage is where he fricks up.

He is putting all the blame on Jurgy
And he is comparing us to Italy and Holland, who have a much tougher qualification process than we do

He's also blaming the media and the fans for being pissed about not qualifying and calling him and the team out for failing spectacularly.

There is no way to spin it positively without looking like an ignorant, arrogant douchebag. The only course of action is admit that everyone involved with the USMNT, including himself, collectively didn't get the job done.
It's been over 2 years, either be contrite about the frick up or just shut the frick up.

We play in the easiest or second easiest confederation to qualify from, UEFA is arguably the hardest (at minimum the deepest), there is NO EXCUSES for ever missing the WC. Arena can go frick himself.

I knew Cameron was pissed because he went right to the media afterwards, but I chalked art of that up to Brice not playing him in either of the final two games. First I heard about Bradley though, that’s interesting.

It just pisses me off that it’s come to this because that 2002 team is why I love soccer and Bruce was a big part of that, but he’s now just taking a big flamethrower to his legacy.
