I imagine Barcelona will be livid if we sold him to someone else. Though I don't hate Barcelona like some Arsenal fans, I would be amused to see Barca's reaction.

FWIW I don't hate Barcelona the club (with the exception of Soggy Biscuits), but i am starting to hate Barca's management

I have an issue with their sense of entitlement, and this seems to be another instance of that.

Kieran Gibbs pulled out of the U21s with injury. Arsenal have some injury-prone players, but he might take the cake. Hope Botelho is adequate cover at LB. Seemed like he was always playing LW on loan.

Twitter is saying Fab and Barca have preliminary agreement for next season. I hope the fee is upwards of £35m.

Yeah I saw that too. If true, it seems to once again be the very definition of tapping up. Who knows if its true though. They aren't going to get him at a cut rate.

Figure being bandied about on some forums is £37 million, which at this point I would take. Cesc is worth much more, but the problem is that he has only one suitor, driving down his price in a big way. Man City, Chelsea, Inter, and Real would all willingly pay £50 million for him, but he would never go there. As such, we should take anything more than £35 million and move on.

Yeah, I'm resigned to losing him to those Catalan bastards this summer. Hopefully, Xavi or Iniesta gets hurt because I don't want to see a talent like Cesc wasted on the bench.

frick that...i hope he rides the pine for the rest of his career and always remembers the days when he was "the man" at Arsenal.

I hope sitting on the bench for his "dream club" is better to him than actually playing for another.

Yeah I'm bitter

If he leaves for Barca this summer, I will feel this way too. He would take my "least favorite ex-Arsenal player" spot over Ashley Cole and William Gallas.

as long as Cesc doesn't write a book that throws several people under the bus at Arsenal because of his prima donna outlook on life and yell at Arsenal fans to "frick off" and give them the "frick you sign"

then Cesc won't be near the top spot.

Until he runs out of his way to taunt the gunners, then he will always be in the shadow of Adebayor the Elephant Washer.

True, Adebayor is up there too.
