First half had that Nasri run and the Bendtner chance, but not much else. You also forgot to mention a highly questionable offsides call against Arshavin in the second half where he rounded the keeper and put the ball in the back of the net.
We looked really disjointed in the midfield. Denilson and Diaby didn't have good matches and the trio of those two plus Jack in the Cesc role didn't seem to have much chemistry playing together. Most of our great chances were wasted by shooting right at the keeper. Mignolet had a few great saves, but we were shooting it right at him most of the time. It's tough to say someone should do better on an overhead kick, but Bendtner really should have done better on the overhead kick he had from six yards out...if it had any direction it would have been a goal.

Did Bendtner play wide yet again? Its clear him up top/more central is where his success happens.
How on earth Wenger doesnt know this I have no idea. If you told me Diaby and Denilson playing together in the center as just an idea I would have laughed. But to see that happen, and have Jack play up high as the AM is pretty vexing.
Guessing the entire match would have come down to a stroke of genius from Nasri or a great run by Arshavin, based on the lineup and the defensive/physical minded opposition.
But for them to simply get a draw against an average opponent at the Emirates with the chance to come within a single point of tops of the table is baffling. I really must watch the replay to see just how uninspired the team played.

he played centrally almost the entire time.

not really. Sunderland always plays us close, so it's not really surprising. certainly disappointing, tho.

I'm not sure what the alternative was considering who we had healthy. It was either this or start Chamakh with Bendtner on the wing.

I was of the impression Rosicky was good to go.
Regardless, I'd rather have Jack and Nasri both in the center and Chamakh up top sacrificing having Bendtner out wide than having both Denilson and Diaby in there together.

Agreed. Denilson is my last choice for CM right now, behind all of the less-than-ideal choices like Diaby, Rosicky, a still-recovering Rambo, and moving Nasri.

Can you play tomm night? After 7 or so?

Puyol is out Tuesday. That combined with 'Pool's thrashing of ManU makes it a pretty good day. If only we had gotten the 3 pts yesterday...

Confirmed? If so Van Persie's injury really sucks.

I can't wait to go watch the match with all of the Scousers at Finns. One point at a time.

I'm on my phone so I can't link it, but I got a tweet saying that Puyol is definitely out Tuesday. It was somebody RTing a Barca site.

Both central defenders and Valdes out is big. God I wish TV was fit.

Like I said last match, I think Kos matches up well with this Barca side. I am worried a bit about his confidence at the moment, but he looked solid against Sunderland. Barca's ragged back line gives us a chance to score an away goal or two. Too bad our injuries cancel out each other pretty much.

Valdes is back though. He played yesterday.

Valdes being in or out doesn't do much for me. (Which probably means he'll make some ridiculous saves Tuesday to spite me)
If Song and Fab are back we'll have a shot. Looks like at least Fab will be back. I'm guessing that sense Bendtner started Saturday that Chamakh will start Tuesday. Means Arshavin, Nasri, or Fab will have to do the goal scoring for us.

Last I heard from Wenger about a week ago was they were resting Song, since it was only a bruise to the knee, just for this purpose. So he would be ready by Tuesday. I would think he is good to go.
I have no idea about Cesc though, I have not heard anything since he was ruled out for the Carling cup final.

Not sounding good for Song. I think we can put out a good enough starting 11, but we are going to have limited bench options. It will still be a better squad than we brought last year at least. Hoping we can somehow pull this one out.
