If true then that sounds good. Arsenal would have touched on 4 of their 5 areas of need. A creative attacking mid would be top it off.

Vargas and Santos would mean that Gibbs wouldn't be playing LB anymore, or Wenger has given up on Gibbs.

Anyone have any ideas on what takes so long in these transfer processes? For instance, Per has been rumored since before the Newcastle game. Why did it take until now to get it done? Nasri was going to City for 2+ weeks before it actually happened, for another example.

Don't be mad at Per if he's a little slow. He has really good instincts to make up for it though. He and Vermalen should make a good pairing.
