I was in love with Ramsey two years ago as much as most of you were with Jack last year. I think playing with Cesc in the midfield gave him more freedom than he has now. Regardless, he's still only 21 so I think he has plenty of room to grow before he hits his ceiling.

When Wilshere gets healthy I don't think there is room for Ramsey to start, though Wilshere could slide in for Arteta if Arsenal goes out and gets a CAM who can actually finish, or make those clutch final passes assisting on goals. Hopefully Rosicky can continue his good form, but I'd rather him in the center instead of out wide.

A question for you more tactically inclined than me.. Generally speaking is skill/touch/passing of the ball the most desirable trait for a central midfielder whereas wingers most desired trait would be speed first followed by the above?
Again, in the most general terms possible.
Just looked at a list of the potential olympic team for the Team Great Britain.. didn't realize there's a good possibility of 3-4 Arsenal players on it.

Generally speaking you would want your wingers to be workhorses getting up and down the pitch on attack and defense, and have a good touch on the ball so as they could send in good crosses towards the box.
However, in recent years many teams have opted to go the route of wing/striker where those players are pushed up high and are relied upon for goal scoring as much as the strikers. Those players need to be faster, more dribblers less than great passers and off ball movement. They run at defenders and cut inside looking for shots at the top of the box usually.

Yes his pose is awesome. RVP seems a little douchey at times, but most of our players seem like pretty good guys.

Do any of you catch the matches at the Londoner? Or is it mostly just finns
Posted on 3/23/12 at 6:39 pm to Jumbeauxlaya
The Londoner doesn't open early, atleast from what I have heard. And a chain pub is the suck compared to a real one.

Europeans are so gay its crazy. They just dont think ab gay the same way we do. Spent time in spain and the french were the worst ab kissing and touching eachother, just things that would be inappropriate for american male friends to do with eachother.

I live in the south of France. I still feel awkward when guys go in for the "bises" (kisses on the cheek). I'm cool with doing it with girls (duh), and they aren't actually kisses so much as kiss sounds to the side of each cheek (not touching). But still, having some guy making kissing sounds next to your cheek as his stubble touches your face is a bit odd.

Gervinho starting for Ramsey today... Otherwise, same lineup.
