Can’t imagine signing a new contract with this board with what they’ve done the last 2 windows.

Injuries to Saka & Jesus can’t be helped, but you had a month to fill spots for those 2 guys, you punted again “January Market is hard” now we’re down 2 more senior attackers in a week span and we’re left with 3 total for 3 spots while you’re trying to advance in the CL and win a PL.

Just unbelievable mismanagement and I wouldn’t blame anyone for leaving to find a team that will support the team when it’s needed

This is one of those times I didn’t want to be right about not signing someone.

Well from the espn article.

quote:

After trying and failing to add a striker in the January transfer window, Arteta labelled Havertz as a genetic "powerhouse" who could lead the line instead.

"I don't know ... it it is a possibility [he could start every game]," Arteta said earlier this month. "Maybe we go through that scenario and he scores another 15 or 18 goals? Can you imagine? That's a good scenario.

"Genetically, he is a powerhouse. He is so well-built. He is a player that anything you ask him, he is happy to do: to run in zone six, to be very robust, to make long distances. His body absorbs everything. And then he really looks after himself.

What a jynx

?? Kai Havertz set to miss rest of season through injury. Arsenal forward suffered torn hamstring during training at #AFC camp in Dubai. Unclear if 25yo Germany international will require surgery but focus is getting fit for 2025-26 campaign

KSE and the board should be fricking ashamed of themselves.

I’m concerned about top 4 now, fully. We are going to be relying on U-18 guys to play PL games

Well the season is over now.

This is what happens when he’s played every game including 90 minutes in lost cup tie.

It’s so ridiculous I just have to laugh

Guess we have to be Mourinho Chelsea and try to let no one score on us.

Finishing in top 4 is the priority.

I'm still not overly concerned about top 4. The premier league is pretty bad this season. Saturday morning could be a huge momentum gain for this squad to finish the campaign.

Options for attackers on the squad:

Timber if Ben White is at RB?
Lewis Skelly with Califiori/Zinny/Tierney at LB? I guess Tierney could also play there in a real bind.

It’s going to be a slog. Teams will be very aggressively man to man pressing us now, we have 0 height in the attacker positions, we no longer have an outlet to try to win 2nd balls off of

We’re 9 pts up on City/Newcastle for 5/6 place, we’ve bottled a lead like that before, and City just spent 200M closing some gaps

ETA: not to mention the fact that Declan rice is probably the fastest person on the pitch for us. We suck in transitions, we have no aerial threat, and our captain has been in a months long funk. Now our attackers are: a 17 yr old who shouldn’t be playing every game, a washed 30 yr old, and a guy who should be a great rotational/squad player

Oh actually im worried about the cl.

Weve bottled a 9 point lead before.

We really could end up rt back where we were a few seasons ago.

Poor recruitment will do that to you.

At Leicester
Vs West Ham
At Forrest
At United
Vs Chelsea
Vs Fulham

That gets us to April 1st where hopefully Saka, Ben White, Martinelli are back etc.

5 winnable games. Hope yall are ready for 1-0 victories. Defensive masterclasses, time wasting, dark arts, set piece goals, 17 and 18 year old brilliance. I am ready. Everybody lock in. Gonna be a roller coaster of emotions as it is every year.

That Chelsea game is going to get real weird also with Sterling being unable to play due to being on loan.

Putting my Arsenal fan hat on we are going to beat Leicester, feel great about things, then lose to West Ham.

Good news is, we’ve got a week break until WHU, then we go back to mid week games for the next 3 weeks at a minimum (NF then R16 games).

Hopefully Martinelli is back for 1 of those ties

My fandom has hope, my gut tells me we’re out of CL after R16, and we drop some points where we shouldn’t and Pool wins the league with a draw to us on MD36
