He has 3 years left on his contract after this year, he is not leaving this summer absent something truly eye watering.

Break the bank and go after Isak this summer.
Guys I'm telling you, be disappointed.
We are not getting Isak.
We had to settle for sterling because the club felt like they put up the money to overpay for Rice. There was a fight over the merino deal too which is why it came so late.
Arteta wanted watkins, a win now player, club wouldn't make that deal happen. And his cost will be 1/3-1/2 of Isak's.
Just saying, be ready to de disappointed in the summer window.

Arteta will have a losing record against Howe.
Some managers just have your number.
Pep and klopp make sense because for most of that they just had better squads.

Newcastle out muscles & hustles the hell out of us every chance they get. Seems like they only play this hard against us
They’ve lost to Bournemouth & Fulham by a combined 2-6 in 2 of their last 3 PL games, but have beaten us 2-0, 2-0 in last 2 games, and 1-0 in Nov

All around embarrassing performance
Hope we don’t suck on the run in

They have our number, for sure. They set the tone early on being very aggressive and physical daring the ref to call fouls, which no ref really wants to do early on. I think it gets in our guys’ heads and they focus too much on that and less on what they need to do

We haven’t scored a goal at St James park since May of 2023, and 3 games in a row we haven’t scored a goal at all against Newcastle.

Has there been a single knockout that we’ve played well in recently?
0-2 Newcastle
1-1 penalty loss to United
0-2 Newcastle
0-1 Bayern (never threatened)
2-2 Bayern (home game at looked like arse)
1-0 Porto (won on penalties)
0-1 Porto
0-2 Liverpool
1-3 West Ham
1-1 Sporting (lost on penalties)
2-2 Sporting
0-1 City
1-3 BHA
That’s 13 games in cup comps since 2022 and we’ve scored 9 goals and given up 21
This team plays like arse when the pressure is on since 2022
This goes without saying but we desperately need attacking threats that can create off the bounce and have good ball striking qualities. We’ve got 1 of those guys and in just about every one of the games above, he gets neutralized and we are hapless to do anything but pass the ball back and forth and kick into 8 man boxes.
It’s fricking embarrassing that we are still running out Trossard, Martinelli, and Jesus (when healthy). I like all of those guys, but they’ve either regressed or were never good enough quality to start for top clubs. Not a single one of those guys would start for Pool, Forrest, Chelsea, City, Newcastle, Bournemouth, or Villa. Yet the club thought that it’s ok not bringing in a single attacker in during the last 4 windows besides washed up Sterling on a loan

We have needed another class A striker for 3 years now and we still don't have one. frick get that and I can coach tjis team to a championship.

If Odegaard doesn’t get it together after this little break, we’re going to have to have some serious talks about him.
Hes great out of possession when we’re pressing, but he’s been woeful in possession, even before the injury. I don’t know if it’s a lingering thing or what - but he’s been not good

That list of knockout games and results gives me sever PTSD over the last few years. It is so brutal every year making it far in some cup competitions just to lose the really big games.

We’ve been horrific, and there’s no one to overcome defensive issues.
That is the number 1 problem with this squad, when you need a goal, there is no one

Gabriel Martinelli faces more than a month on sidelines with hamstring injury suffered in Arsenal loss at #NUFC. Early indications suggest 23yo winger set to miss #AFC PL games vs #LCFC #WHUFC #NFFC & potentially #MUFC #CFC + #UCL last-16 @TheAthleticFC
Such a clown show of an org.
For those counting, that leaves us with 4 total attackers until Martinelli or Saka comes back.
Trossard, Havertz, Nwaneri, Sterling.
We’re going to get roasted in the round of 16
If I was Arteta, I’d leave at the end of the season. The board have wasted an entire year of the prime of most of our players. Another year with 0 trophies

I guess its really been since we had an elite goal scorer and beat Chelsea and city in the FA cup.

Saka comes back.
I also never liked the, but Saka will be back argument.
He will be back? When? When we are out of all cups and too far behind Liverpool? Well, that doesn't fricking help us.
What we needed was a forward. Now we are short one more.

This is exactly what we want to happen. Let them really f themselves over by not signing a striker.
