Brighton knows how bad we need a DM in the worst way

got a feeling arsenal is going to have to pay above asking for the Caicedo transfer

but it has to happen if there isn’t a backup plan

oh yeah, i love the trousard signing, just hope we can keep him happy with playing minutes

EXCL: Moises Caicedo didn’t turn up for training today — he wants leave immediately. Caicedo could also miss tomorrow’s game. ?? #BHAFC ?? Understand Arsenal are expected to improve their bid, after £60m revealed yesterday. #AFC ?? Chelsea offered £55m — rejected too.

Sounds like they are going all in for Enzo Fernandez. Looks like we are submitting one more bid for 70 million. We will see if they accept.
ETA: seems like it was immediately rejected. The ways these bids are submitted then accepted or rejected is a little strange to me. You would think it would be a much more fluid negotiation.

Brighton rejected the 70 mil, but interestingly enough they signed a young Swedish midfielder.

Swedish talent Yasin Ayari has signed as new Brighton player on €6m deal from AIK, done and completed ?????? #BHAFC Been told contract will be valid until June 2027 — medical completed too.

Arsenal winger Marquinhos will join Championship side Norwich City on loan for the remainder of the season, with the deal likely to be completed in the next 24 hours.
Good move for some experience.

I don’t know what BHA is hoping to accomplish. The guy openly wants to leave. Those Caicedo social media posts hammered the door shut with BHA.

70M is a helluva good transfer fee and The Sun just reported Arsenal upped the ante to 75M.

BHA rejects that and I stand by my statement that they are a petty, shite organization.

BH has us by the nuts

he’s going to end up surpassing Pepes price tag

i’ll never even paid attention to him all year so have no idea about his game, but hope it’s money well spent

He is a really good player but the price tag is too high imo. He only has 26 PL games under his belt. There has to be other options at least for the short term until the summer.

Yes, that’s my concern for spending 100M to get him here—his relative lack of PL experience. I really want him wearing red but 75M is eminently fair and if BHA is still holding out for around 100M, I have no problem telling them to go frick themselves. If the Blues overpay again and grab him, they just do.

Arsenal have approached Chelsea for midfielder Jorginho. It’s an option should they fail to complete a move for Brighton’s Moises Caicedo. Chelsea are open to selling Jorginho, who has six months left on his contract, but will ask for an important fee. [@FabrizioRomano]

Don’t hate this if it’s cheap. Elneny might be done for the season. We need someone that can back up Partey that isn’t named Sambi.
I know it’s underwhelming, but if we can’t make a deal this window, without overpaying our arse off then he’s at least serviceable.

I was wondering why not go in for tielemens because we clearly need another body in midfield.

I really dislike Chelsea and their players coming here.

Agreed, I’d much rather him instead of another 30+ yr old dude that is slower than Xhaka.

Xhaka looks like prime Walcott compared to Gorghino.

I assume y’all have seen the news of Chelsea getting Enzo tonight and Caicedo tomorrow? I can’t do anything but laugh. I’d rather it be them dropping another $100m on an unproven player than us but ffs we are running out of time

Brighton are trying to protect themselves while they are currently pushing for Europe spots. They’ve already let 2 of their best players leave in Bissouma and Trossard. Caicedo basically was Bissoumas replacement and since Arsenal made a push at the very end of the window it leaves Brighton in a bad spot mid season without one of their best midfielders and not enough time to find a replacement. I don’t see Brighton budging even if they offered 80-90.
