Maybe it is a weakness, but I don't think it's a glaring one. I think we've shown we can play against elite wingers (Zaha and Son). I feel Ben White had a bad game, and it came at a bad time but otherwise very solid. Rash's goal was from a bad pass I've grown accustomed to seeing Partey make in his sleep.
I should have been more specific. Teams are definitely targeting our right inside half-space, hoping to catch White out when he ventures up field. Tottenham tried to leave Son high and wide in order to generate transition opportunities. Man U did the same thing, but the difference was they didn't have someone to hold up the ball for Rashford. What they did do differently was to keep Rashford in the right vacated space after White went up field and use that width to spring Rashford. They did it successfully in our first game against us, and they were nearly successful again.
What this means is that White/Tomi have to be a bit more cautious on the overlap against certain types of wingers. Even with Tomi playing a more reserved role in the 2nd half, Rashford nearly did us, given that his speed is so great.
If I was Man U, I'd develop my entire system around getting Rashford the ball in half-spaces. Our entire system is dedicated to Saka (and our wingers generally) so that he is one on one. White specifically overlaps when Saka has two defenders, but sometimes we will have to work other ways of getting Saka isolated when the opposing winger isn't worried about tracking White.
It is mostly the elite teams who we should worry about in that regard, but we also need to find a RB that can play a game like Zinchenko, which would give us complete balance, but also there really isn't that type of player available. We could have possibly developed AMN to play that role, but AMN doesn't have the decision-making.

I see what you are saying, and other than his yellow, I was ok with Tomi on for White because we should see less overlaps from him.
Have to give credit, Rashford in top arse form now especially with Ronaldo. He'll give everyone hell right now. Much like Starboy is. Hopefully we'll find a way to spring Martinelli back in to really isolate both wings.

Loan deal until the end of the season now imminent for Cedric. Fulham will cover his wages. No buy option.
Arsenal waiting on Fresneda, but even if he signs, the expectation is he will stay in Spain for the rest of the season.

Riyad Mahrez says hello. Luckily, he usually plays on Zinchenko’s side.

More on Moises Caicedo and Arsenal exclusive story ???? ?? #AFC bid: £60m fixed fee, no add-ons. ?? Brighton rejected £55m bid from Chelsea, they want to keep Moises. ?? Caicedo has new agents — he told Brighton he’d “love to take the opportunity”.

Bid was rejected. Some add-ons might tempt them.

Glad it was rejected tbh. For that price we could have Zubimendi who is way better imo, or we could add on a little bit to that price in the summer and get Rice. Obviously we need reinforcements now and not the summer, but if we’re paying £60m I expect a player that is going to actually transform the team. I don’t think caicedo does that. Plus like I’ve said before the Brighton player we need to be after is Mac Allister to replace Xhaka

Definitely a mixed second team for the game today playing against City’s starters. Might get out of hand but these guys need minutes.

With Elneny out injured it really shows our lack of depth behind Xhaka and Partey.

Turner’s run outs have been good but he’s given the ball away in dangerous positions twice trying to pass out of the back.

He's also pin pointed some very nice long balls.
Mixed bag so far.
