As a father of a goalie I am blaming Saka for breaking my number one rule.

Do not do lazy passes across the face of the goalie, ever.

But that said they gutted this win out which is huge, you have to learn how to win and they are finally doing that. They are still kids so they are going to have some shite games, let’s enjoy the wins and resist the temptation to unload on them when the shite games occur, because they are coming, but we are going to be top 4 when it’s all said and done.

We would have easily been last year if he had just won the games like this

Most likely. Not sure if we keep going down our list though. I always figured Neto would be too much and wolves got a lot for another player. But I guess we could still target gakpo or that Ukrainian winger with a weird name I can’t think of we have been linked to.

If we don’t do anything the rest of the window and we don’t try to strengthen in Jan for post World Cup, that will probably be the mistake. You are really just trying to get to November during this first part.

As frustrating as it was last year to be so close it was a huge learning experience for our youth that hopefully will pay dividends in games like Fulhum moving forward.

Why would we send Pepe on loan without securing a replacement first?

my thought is because of esr and viera. Maybe they have seen enough from marquinhos so hes going to play in the europa league games?

But they have mentioned not buying someone just to buy them. they couldnt get their guy last jan so they waited til the summer to get jesus.

Could also be that he has no role in this squad, and loaning him out to a team where he can thrive (just like Nuno Tavares) you might be able to find a buyer next summer (even if the fee is a fraction of what we paid).

Now news that Elneny injured himself in the Fulham game and will be out….the Athletic called it significant, but no official report yet.

Arsenal are waiting on scan results on a hamstring injury Elneny suffered during Saturday's game. Unclear at this stage how long he will be out. Zinchenko could be in contention for Villa, was very close to making it against Fulham. Initial prognosis for Partey is quite positive.

The initial prognosis of Thomas Partey’s injury is fairly positive, with the expectation being he could be back in a couple of weeks. However, he looks certain to miss at least the next couple of games, including this weekend’s trip to Manchester United.
Partey just can't seem to stay healthy. I guess we see either Zinchenko or Lokonga start tomorrow. Depending on the severity of Elneny's thigh injury, we probably need to make a MF signing before Thursday, as the group looks thin with Partey constantly being injured and Elneny now out.

Okay we have to buy a midfielder.

David Ornstein @David_Ornstein · Follow ?? Mohamed Elneny suffered significant injury vs Fulham. Arsenal awaiting full extent but 30yo expected to miss considerable spell. Partey also nursing (relatively minor) muscle issue so #AFC may look to recruit in midfield. With @gunnerblog @TheAthleticUK

So down to just Lokonga and Xhaka as true center midfielders. Great news to wake up to. Hopefully this finally forces their hand to sign another midfielder.

So I guess we have to get Tielemans. Otherwise we are down to Lokonga and I guess AMN as back-ups? Can Ben White play DM? That could be another option.

I assume this will have to force their hand. Tielemans or someone else has to come in for that midfield role.

We should just make wolves our farm team and scoop up Neves and Neto for €150 mil, and win the fn league. Haha. Throw in Sa as a back up keeper while we’re at it.

A man can dream.

I am sure I am going to regret this, this year, but Xhaka is actually playing well right now

Agreed but he tends to save his brain fart moments for the big games.

Southampton are closing in on Ainsley Maitland-Niles deal. It’s set to be completed on loan with buy option as Arsenal contract will be extended.
His contract extension is just a 1 year option that Arsenal already had in place.
