That's a bummer. What is the injury? I didn't see the 2nd half yesterday.
A Reading sub came in, and a few minutes later, he decided to step on Perez's ankle with all his weight. Looked like it hurt pretty good. Somehow, he avoided a yellow for the challenge.

Well Giroud is back and perhaps Danny at the first of the year. The depth is finally where it needs to be.

the highlights i saw it looked like giroud did well when he came on. had a hard header on goal and set ox up twice. Once right at the top of the box and also for ox's deflected goal.

Giroud looked good especially considering how long he's been out for.

Need giroud back for these games against bunkering small teams. His threat on corners and free kicks is huge. Get a goal from him and it forces them to open up

Yep. Lets not forget over the last three EPL seasons only Aguero has more league goals. Giroud gets a lot of shite, but he is a very good player.

Yep. Hope Giroud gets a lot of game time especially with the busy schedule coming up in the next couple months

The flexibility of Alexis makes the injury to Lucas much easier to bear. Now, Arsene can approach games 2 ways. He can start Giroud with Alexis on the left. If we need to change things up, he can bring on Iwobi on the left and take off Giroud. He can do the opposite if Giroud starts on the bench.

Also, Ox gaining some confidence should be a big boost. I can see him actually having an impact as a sub now.

Ox has more goals(5) this season than any other season at Arsenal. Hopefully it's a sign that he is maturing as a player.

I wouldn't be shocked if Ox got the nod this weekend over Iwobi, whose form has dipped ever so slightly. Only thing is Iwobi is so good at that diagonal ball into the right channel that so often frees up Hector and Theo.

Ox may also start over Theo as well. I read he was sick.

What are the chances we keep Jon Toral and Joel Campbell when they come back from their loans?
Been looking at some of the loanees and we all know what Joel can do for us, and Jon was sent on another loan and not playing this year, even though he won POTY at Birmingham City. Anyone feel like they'll sign new contracts or do you think we let these talents go?

I can't see either of them staying with us. Joel doesn't have the ceiling of our other wingers and Toral doesn't have the ceiling of our other midfielders.

Cazorla back in full training. Phew! We really need him or Xhaka in at all times. We play at a much better pace with one of them dictating play.

Nice. Probably won't play until Tuesday, but that is okay with me.

It's game day
Lineup predictions?
I'd like to see Alexis-Özil-Ox with Giroud up front, but I think boss keeps Alexis up top with Iwobi and Ox either side of Mesut

Monreal and Theo out with minor knocks. Ramsey on the bench.

Man this has been awesome. It doesn't matter who we plug into the first 11 or who comes off the bench everyone is contributing. Giroud is so good at making an impact as a super sub. We have a tough run of games coming but I feel we are ready for the challenge.

So how do we incorporate Ramsey and Giroud into our "big match everyone is fit" game day strategy? Do we go with the lineup that we won six in a row with, with them two/Ox/Xhaka the main subs depending on what direction the game goes? Does Ramsey start over Cazorla or Iwobi on the wing? Does Sanchez move back to left wing with Giroud up top? On a related note, is Monreal still the for sure left back over Gibbs?

I'm rambling now, but I think our untouchables as of today in a big match are Cech, Hector, Kos, Mustafi, Coq, Ozil, Sanchez, Walcott. Iwobi/Ox/Giroud/Cazorla/Ramsey/Xhaka/
Gibbs/Monreal/Elneny are all fighting for those last three spots. It's a good problem to have bc I feel confident in everyone of those players
