Let's not overlook Mustafi.
He's really solidified that back line. As many articles have stated, he's a bargain at 34M.
SURELY now Arsene relegates Per to starting FA-cup mid weeks and relegation-level cupcake games when he returns.

Where did you find those extended highlights of the Basel game?

Mertesacker shouldn't even play in EFL games. I'd play holding over him.

Yea there's no reason to play Per unless injuries. Holding and Gabriel need the game time and are close in quality to Per. He's a great guy but his time at Arsenal may be ending.

Fairly lackluster effort. I realize Burnley is parking the bus but we need to be sharper.

Thank god we came out of there with a point. I hope Arsene starts resting some of these players before they burnout. It's been three or four matches in a row with the same starting 11. No changes from a midweek game is just asking for this.

Uh, we came out of there with three. Did you see the end of the match?

Agree for sure on the need for changes. We need Giroud back and part of the rotation, need to integrate Perez and get Ramsey back as well

Just finished the game. My heart rate is still going.
I'm glad we got 3 points but what the frick Arsene man. We came out with the same exact tactics against a team who had 5 whole days to prepare to park the bus.
Why is Giroud not fit? Him being out hurt as they were giving us crosses all day. We just didn't have anyone who could get on the end of them.
Positive: 3 points. Title contenders find ways to win these games.
Negative: Wenger is still predictable. If I knew Arsene would come with the same tactics, every other manager does too. Hopefully, Giroud and Perez not being fit was the only reason this occurred, but I know this isn't true.
Alexis is still dropping way too deep way too often.

Also 4 straight shutouts across all comps.

Mustafi is looking like the most valuable signing of the entire premier eague. Remind me why Arsene was haggling over couple million pound with this guy again?

Burnley has a really good defensive record. They shut out liverpool and Watford for their two wins this year, and those are two of the best offensive teams in the premier league. They're by far the best defensive team in the bottom half of the table. Them and Southampton(not really bottom half but close), who we also already beat. Most other teams are not going to be able to sit back for that long and be that physically and mentally disciplined.
Again though, I agree having Giroud for these games to get set piece goals and cause havoc in the box off of crosses would be nice

Two points from the top of the league. Three points on the road and a clean sheet. I'll take a lucky win, God knows we need a few.

Brainfart. Should have said win. Regardless we got to start rotating more after midweek games.

That one had me nervous, nice to be back on the heels of city.

really lucky to get 3 there. after looking at the replay it definitely looked like ox would have found a way to sky that one over the goal if it didn't hit laurent. that would have been the most ox thing ever.
