It doesn't help that they say Ozil is fine, but he didn't see a minute for Germany.

This damn club and their weak ankles...

Arsenal Repört ?@ArsenalReport 1h
"The pitch was very hard there’s no give in it so I rolled my ankle a bit. Hopefully I’ll be available for Saturday" - Aaron Ramsey

What kind of lineup would y'all like to see?

It might be too soon to throw Welbeck out there, especially in such a huge match, at least from the start.

I'm going to assume Ramsey and Arteta are healthy.

What we'll get

Shez
Debuchy-Per-Kosc-Monreal (Gibbs?)
Ramsey-Arteta-Wilshere
Ox-Sanchez-Ozil

What I'd like to see
Shez
Back 4
Arteta-Ramsey
Ox-Ozil-Sanchez (Cazorla)
Welbz (Sanchez)

Wouldn't mind throwing Danny boy out there and let him bag a goal or four, but I doubt he's ready to start.

Realistically, though, Alexis and Ox have such excellent work rates that they're a great wing pairing, even against City. Defend in two banks of four, play the fullbacks relatively conservative, and we shouldn't be so susceptible to the counter.

Ozil and Arteta both training today. No Ramsey. I'm going to assume he's out, even though he's saying otherwise.

If we do a midfield three now, I'll assume it's Arteta-Wilshere-Cazorla. I still want to see Rosicky out there, and this might be the right game for him.

Jeremy Wilson reported Wenger told Welbeck he'd get a chance as central striker. Wilson said "in Arsenal's 4-2-3-1" which seems less like reporting and more like laziness or lack of tactical wherewithal. i'm guessing welbeck will start, but that we'll play the same formation with ozil and sanchez wide, jack and santi central, arteta deep central.

I'm so sick of our 433.

No way we start Cazorla at CM. It would be madness. It would mean our midfield would have to be relatively static, which negates the point of having three CMs on the field together. If we do, then I'll be extremely worried about the game. I'd love for us to go to a 4231 for this game, but I'd be surprised by it.

he's started there the last two games and played there as a sub vs. Everton. i don't have any reason (yet) to suspect AW will switch things up.

Screw that! Dude is coming off scoring 2 goals for England, and growing up a Manc, he must hate Citeh! Surely he would be up for this game. Along with making a deadline day move to another big club, and confidence should be through the roof.

Would you rather have Welbeck out there or Sanogoal?

Welbeck, obviously, but I don't know how long it takes to integrate someone into your system, so Sanchez would play up top for me. If he's ready, play Welbeck.

I would be very surprised if Danny doesn't start up top. Then again Arsene likes playing a top 5 #10 at left wing so crazier things could happen.

Looking at our lineups it appears you are right, but god damn it I think it's a bad idea against City.

I want Chambers as a CDM. He has pace, vision and composure.

I really like Chambers, I'm actually amazed at how well he's adapted, but who knows if he's the CDM we need when it turns out he's also the RB and the CB we need.

if ramsey is healthy, i'm sure it will be he and jack. though santi has played really well there the last 3 matches IMO. totally different game against city though.

still think it's madness to play ozil out wide. i'm really shocked arsene is doing that.

We match with them well. The 6-3 beatdown at the Etihad last season was a truly bizarre match.

I expect 3 points on Saturday.
