Hopefully Cavani is the guy we're being linked to but waiting until we actually qualify to sign.

Giroud isn't good enough. Upgrade please.

And at this point I wouldn't be disappointed if we sold Santi to Atletico. I love Santi and he's been massive for us at times, but he's not cutting it right now, and I'd honestly rather keep the incredibly productive Podolski as depth to Theo, Alexis, Ox, and Rosicky, who should get the next start while Santi sits.

I'm frustrated, so don't take anything I say too seriously.

this 4-3-3 we've been playing doesn't suit ramsey, santi, or giroud and it's been done to forcefrick wilshere into the lineup in a position closer to his optimal spot. i don't like that. it hasn't helped sanchez either as we've had even less numbers in the box.

hope arteta isn't out long. flamini sucks.

Im not as quick to say that we should ditch Santi. Obviously he is out of form right now, it happens. At or near his best he definitely deserves a spot in our XI.

Giroud on the other hand does not. At his absolute best he is nowhere near an elite striker and should be coming off the bench for a guy like Cavani

Ever since Ramsey's rebirth, I wish fans would've learned their lessons about just spewing vitriol. That being said, Giroud and Santi have been really poor in preseason and in our first couple of games. Saying they should be replaced in the starting 11 is perfectly reasonable

I'm desperate for Ozil and Walcott to come back. We'll be such a different team when they do. Hope Gibbs comes back quickly as well because I don't think Monreal is good enough at all.

With no other signings considered, I'm thinking our first choice 11 at that point would be:

Szczesny
Debuchy, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs
Arteta (hoping another signing), Ramsey
Walcott, Ozil, Ox/Cazorla/Podolski
Alexis

Giroud is just not the level of striker needed to challenge for the Premier & Champions leagues. Alexis provides so much more, and with Ozil surrounded by the likes of Ramsey, Walcott, Ox and Alexis in the same attack ...

Billic said he had a plan to win. He fricking Milaned that pitch.

Giroud was the worst I have ever seen a striker play. Made Jozy at Sunderland look great.

What I like about having two wingers who can get down the line (Walcott, Podolski, Ox, Sanchez) at the same time is that it opens massive space for Ramsey to run into.

Right now, we have Jack, Santi, Ramsey, and Sanchez all wanting to get to the same spots.

Frustrating.

I'd like to see Rosicky, Ox, and even Campbell get time over Giroud and Santi right now. Maybe it's the new unis but Santi looks pudgy and slow, and he's giving us nothing.

I'm getting around to watching the match right now on the DVR, about 35 minutes in.

Sanchez is explosive, very quick. What sucks is he's getting the ball going forward and the rest of the attack is lollygagging just watching him get surrounded by defenders as they trot up the pitch toward the oppositions box a full 15 yards behind the play.

Wilshere has been off thus far. Passes and touches not so good. Still not sold on pairing him with Ramsey.

Monreal has me worried. Our defense as a whole looks vulnerable.

There is something either seriously wrong with this formation, or the players just aren't on the same page with one another yet. There is virtually zero link up play on attack. Santi is found central often, and between Wilshee and Ramsey there is no attacking mid helping to feed the wing strikers or Giroud up top.

Ozil is the key for this.

this is why özil was so good for us last year. frick the haters.

also, if arteta is out for any length of time, we have to buy a CM.

Just the Napoli game was worth it. Not to mention everything else.

Unless Wenger believes that Chambers can provide cover. In his mind Arsenal would still be 2 deep at all the defensive positions with Per, Kos, the Greek guy as CB's and Chambers capable of playing there. They would have Flamini and Chambers at CDM.

I really want a stud Center Back though. The Community shield, the match against Crystal Palace, and this match against Besiktas have shown me that the back 4 gets caught pushed forward quite often, and the Center Backs are prone to some not so stellar play.

A Center Back or the CDM for the future. I really want one of these, despite Giroud not being a good enough goal scorer Arsenal needs CB above CDM and both way more than a Striker at this point.

Just watched the game, that was horrific. Ozil has garnered so many haters but it is clear he makes the offense tick. Giroud put up an incredibly terrible performance, bravo for being that poor. Santi continues with his poor form as well.

Best of all, the injuries never seem to go away! I just want one somewhat healthy season. It's so frustrating.

How so? We aren't playing the strongest side and are starting 3 players that got a couple of weeks training. I saw some positives. This team is still missing some cover for the long haul, but I have faith they can grow into a strong side. I don't think besitkas will find it easy at the emirates.

Like others have said, 4-3-3 doesn't suit us because there is a lack of Ramsey and or wilshere to revert to a pivot with arteta when we don't have the ball. I had faith in wilshere progressing, but at this point I do wish we said frick it and signed fabregas. But with an arteta injury looming, we would have been effed either way.

Hope Arsene does business soon. Real soon.

Every fricking touch was terrible. Chambers has been the best player, except for the slip today.

Chambers has been fantastic. Arsene has hinted his future is as a holding midfielder but he's looked great at CB.

That was one of the most frustrating games in a long time. I know it's a hostile environment far from home but they aren't the best team. Hopefully Arsenal never leaves the result in doubt next week but it's going to be nervy. One thing with Arsenal, you know it will never be easy. At lest that keeps it interesting?
