I haven't seen Chambers at DM but he looks like a potential world class CB. I'd be shocked if that's not his future. I imagine Arsene's comments are to keep prices down for DMs on the market.
We have a good squad that has a few glaring holes. It's not good when we praise Flamini for being serviceable. That's his best day. We need a force there who plays like that on his worst and can change a game on his best.
Arsene's subs were awful. His tactics are terrible right now. He is holding the team back at the moment. If something clicks and we start playing lights out in this system it may have been worth it, but there's a systemic problem with the team. 4-1-4-1 leaves our attackers isolated and outnumbered with no advantage to break down the defense.
I think this team gets better as the season goes on but we aren't winning anything with a world class No. 10 on the wing. It's maddening to see Ozil there. It's like watching LSU go out and run the ball three straight plays to start a game. I'll probably skip the next match we 4-1-4-1 it. It's a miserable way to play.

3-0 at an in form Villa.
Galatasaray destruction.

Wtf!!! I just saw cahils tackle. What a bush league piece of shite. He could have broke Alexis leg. God I hate that fricking club. I hope it burns to the ground.

I didn't mind it yesterday. it worked well. we were set up deeper and özil and Sanchez floated well. arsenal column suggested flip flopping the two's position if we continue with that, but in terms of a solid defensive performance with real moments of danger created (not to mention a sizeable number of promising counters cynically stopped and inadequately punished, as well as some poor decision-making on promising counters)against a top side on the road, well... I can't remember us playing much better in that situation in recent years. thought santi was brilliant at CM overall. flamini played his first solid game in a long, long time because he wasn't asked to do too much.
I thought his subs, after the santi sub, were poor, but it was over then. it was pretty much over whenever mikel came on. coming out with a 4231 with Jack and flamini at CM in this match would have been exactly what we've been criticising arsene for all these years: stubbornness and inability to learn lessons from previous beatings. I think we should use that formation against lesser sides, but I'm beginning to be on board with the 4141 in big matches.

Haha what a pussy you are.
I guess you are fine with Danny I got dominated all day so I'm gonna make a two foot lunge after the game is already over Welbeck? Or maybe this kind of soccer is more your style...
Talk about bush league...
Thug POS
Should be a minimum 5 game suspension.
Imagine if someone had done that to Sanchez, he'd still be on the ground.

I didnt watch the game you count, i just saw a highlight of that. That clip doesnt show a clear cut anything, not like an attempt to break someones leg. Funny how analysts are pointing out that tackle and how bad it was yet didnt show one other incident in that game other than the push.

Oh ok, so you're a shitty "fan". At least it gives you a bit more excuse for your ignorance.

Haha except for a wild haymaker to the back of an opponent after getting dominated.

Haha, again you are such a pussy. Maybe tennis or bowling would suit you better.

Watch the game before you come crying like a bitch on a message board.

Both were poor tackles and should have been red cards. Koscielny should have been sent off as well.

Looks like Randy is going all "Mr. Internet Tough Guy" again.

Saying Sanchez would still be down is ridiculous. He has been the victim of some really bad tackles and hasn't missed a second of play. That tackle by Melo was a blatant attempt to take him out.

Don't try to fight Randy with logic. He's a Chelsea troll. Just ignore him because otherwise you're wasting your time.

I actually thought we played really well. I can't remember a time since 2004-05 that we played through a Mourinho team so easily. We had numerous counter attack opportunities, and we had numerous half chances that we wasted. I was extremely confused by how much space we had. There were numerous times when Wilshere drove the ball from deep, but the final ball wasn't there for us.
I also enjoyed the brutality of the game. If a ref isn't going to call a studs up challenge and a last man foul as what they would be in most other games, he's obviously swallowing the whistle for the whole game. The fact that so many tackles went under punished was no surprise in light of that fact. So the teams started to play in a manner that reflected the belief that there would be no consequences. I would like it if we did that a little more. Chelsea have a bit more quality than we do at the moment, but our starting 11's at full strength are fairly even, and I would have loved to have Ramsey and Arteta for this game.
Despite the loss, I was thoroughly entertained. Chelsea is a good team, but when they play Cesc deep, they have so much space in front of the back four that Matic can't cover it by himself. That's going to pose some problems when teams specifically target Cesc, and if Chelsea don't employ someone around him to protect him they could be punished.

It was nice to see us be pretty competitive. We had some decent chances, but just didn't have the final touch/pass. Chelsea is a more complete squad and clicking right now, so to see us compete as well as we did was a great sight.
Lots of positives to take away despite the loss.

I don't think that means what you think it means.

Yea man acting like Cahill is a POS and the whole Chelsea club is trash over one tackle, particularly when Arsenal had an equally dirty tackle and and 10x dirtier attempt of a punch by Sanchez, is great "logic".

I haven't watched enough Arsenal this year to say, hopefully having left Spain he lost some of his bitchiness (hoping it continues to be the case with Costa).
However, your theory about him not missing any playing time is flawed. The whole thing about diver's is that they aren't really hurt so of course they don't miss time. Once they get the call or the card they are right back up and good to go. That's kinda the whole point and why it is so frustrating.

I was pretty surprised by how competitive we were. Jack played well and as usual looked good with the ball at his feet. However there was no final ball, and Ozil was again played out of position. So frustrating. Plus, we had zero shots on goal. Regardless of how well we might have played, that is unacceptable and obviously it's hard to win with no shots. I think this match also showed that we still need a DM who is a game changer. Not saying it would have made a difference on either goal, but Flamini on a good day is still not the quality we need. As crazy mentioned, it looked like we played with rocks in our jaw, which was nice to see. We always seem so passive in big matches and we seemed less so against Chelsea this time around. Again it's promising going forward but we need to resolve our final ball issues, especially now that we have a forward who is a clinical finisher in Welbeck.

i think that's kinda the issue with the whole thing. jack is pretty awful at playing key passes. like really awful. if he's going to play that role, he could be really perfect in it...if he develops that. i don't know if that's something you can develop at this point though.
