Some of the players said they just fought through injury, I'm assuming kos just sucked it up.

250k people in North London yesterday. I guess we know who the kings of London are.

It's a relief to end the trophy drought.
And despite the frustration stemming from being top-table much of this season and wondering if our constant spate of injuries to key players is due to AW's training methods, had you told me in August 2013 that I could take an FA Cup and another CL slot in the upcoming season, I would have laid claim to it, hands down.
I envision Arsenal as one of the top clubs in the world, one which should be a serious threat to win the PL and one other trophy every season. That means having the depth to rest one world-class player by substituting another world-class player in his place. Not all down the line, obviously, but we need a world-class striker who can shoot lasers and much more overall depth.
Proud to be a Gunner ... Hats off to a sometimes frustrating, but overall enjoyable season.

Especially after the debacle on opening day against Aston Villa.
Can't wait for next season and the insane transfer market after the World Cup.

As an Arsenal fan I've learned the hard way not to get overly excited about transfer season.

"You sold Bale, we bought Mesut Ozil, Mesut Ozil".
That was exciting.. no?

even after that loss, I was pretty optimistic. thought we would be title challengers. oh well to that one haha.

I'd really like to do some reading before the summer heats up on just how much the new stadium and refusing to go into debt hamstrung the club's buying power for the past 6 years or so. This summer could be such a massive opportunity if the board is really ready to put their money where their mouth is again i.e. Ozil.
I know Google is my friend but does anyone have any helpful links?

if you want the best info on arsenal's finances, go to Swiss Ramble's archives. nobody painted a more thorough picture of our finances the past few years. it is a tedious read, but incredible analysis.
as for a concise, layman's explanation, I'm not sure there's really been a great one that has stuck out. recently, as more has come to light, especially about the kroenke sale, the idea that we couldn't have spent anymore has been shot down. the board protected themselves and maximized their position at the expense of the club (which is their prerogative, no doubt.)
maybe tweet @DarrenArsenal1. he might be able to point you in the right direction.

So bad.. Both of them.
Arsenal is Pot 1 when we get through the UCL play off matches.

Why wasn't Theo there, just wondering?
Massive win. I watched on replay last night/this a.m., and was quite sure we would lose. It's tough stretching out that anxiety over a night of sleep (stopped after Kosc's equalizer).

We were still challengers for most of the season. 7 points isn't a big gap. Especially considering we got hammered in a few of the matches. Yet Arsenal get a trophy, Chelsea, pool, manu don't.

Yep. Ramsey and Walcott's injuries crushed us. Ozil and Giroud had no runners. Add Ozil's injury and we were done.
