Someone needs to do the math on Ramsey's impact (record with and without, goals scored with and without, his goals per minute, etc).
For our style of play he is as important as any player in the league, IMO.
Give him a full season and I like our chances against anyone.

He scored in all competitions. Preseason Malaysian tour, Emirates Cup, Man City Friendly, UCl Qualification, UCL Group stage, UCL knock outs, BPL and FA Cup. Was leading the league in tackles per game, top 5 in assists and goals before his injury.
I caught more shite from here and Finn's for supporting him since the goal he scored against ManU to keep us in top 4 back in 2011. Wenger was right, "Once Ramsey starts scoring, the goals won't stop". Not only the goals, the energy and engine are what Arsenal has missed for a long time. He is our best player and it isn't even debatable.

Congrats on the cup. I was away most of the weekend. I'm sure you enjoyed a pint or 12 after the match.

Thanks. And about 5 shots.
I fully expect Chelsea to hoist a trophy next season.

I'll expect a treble to make up for our lack of silverware this season.

With Jose it wouldn't surprise me.

Would it be in bad form if I outed you for telling me at Finn's, right before extra time, that Ramsey needed to be subbed? I think I gave you the biggest wtf look when I heard you say that. Must have been the booze talking.

I did say it and he hadn't really played well up to that point. Wait.. of course it was the booze..

I thought he had played pretty well, but he was gassed. really thought he'd come out instead of santi. luckily for us, he had one run into the box left in the tank.

He had played well, was just off the mark. With his ability to always get in good places, it's hard to take him off.
Sanogo has a little bit of that in him, in in a totally different way. He always pops up in the right spot, even if he's a bit unsure of what to do/how to do it when he gets there.

if he had any skill at all, he'd be really good. I'm not sure he'll ever get there though. seems like a difficult thing to add at this age. his movement and pace really changed the game though.
if PSG really want to sell Veratti, I'm cool with us snapping him up

also, sagna is apparently getting 140k/wk for three years. I can't blame him for leaving and I can't blame us for not paying an aging player özil money.

Nah I'd say even since the first time we saw Sanogo this season his touch/confidence/skill etc has all improved drastically.
He looks clumsy as all hell but he manages to get in the right places and still gets a decent shot off most of the time. Also just look at that attempted backheel that won us the corner, was nice skill imho

From what club?

City.
sanogo does not have a whole lot of skill. maybe his decision making will improve enough to mask those deficiencies, but a lot of the good things he does seem to be mistakes (like his touch to giroud that set up the winner. not sure he meant that )

Vela open to Arsenal return. Can we package him with Griezmann?

quote:Yeah, I saw that he may be available. Everything I've heard is that he's Pirlo's heir apparent. How is his defensive work rate and do you think he'd partner with Ramsey well?

I think I remember wm72 giving a great breakdown of his playing style. Anybody remember where that was?

Anyone know how to buy one of these Nike commemorative jerseys?

That thing is awful, and I must have it.
