He's better than Flamini. And actually, when thinking about it, he's pretty much a younger American version of Källström.

He's better in the rambo/jack role. Could've used him with Arteta.

I'd take Bradley easily.

His pace and size are much better. His passing and vision are really close. He can play anywhere in the CM right now. I love Mikel, but he can't at this moment in his career.

Arteta lead the team in tackles with 7 once again. His contribution to this club is understated by some of you. Ramsey helps out so much. Puts pressure off mikel and he was an option to pass to every time we had the ball. Without Ramsey teams just have to focus on putting pressure on arteta and our attack suffers from it.

sure, he's faster and taller. that's all he's got over mikel. positioning, passing, vision, controlling tempo...mikel can't do all that he used to, but he continues to show he's a damn fine DM with Rambo beside him. he can't be left exposed (but neither can Bradley).

i'm just saying bradley doesn't get in our top XI. i know Rog's opinion is practically canonical among US soccer fans these days, but he's incorrect. bradley sure would have been a huge help when we were in the worst of our injury problems though. there are better, less expensive options out there (unless he is willing to take a big pay cut).

Not by me. He has been a great buy and been a great player for Arsenal. I love him.

The stadium was beautiful, looked like a modern NFL stadium. I took some pictures but probably won't be able to upload them until I get back next week

Nice. I can't wait to go and watch a match there.

I hate having to root for City, but on Saturday I will be all "Blue".

Well there's other people in this thread who would pick Bradley, so it's not a ridiculous premise. Bradley started for Roma in a season in which they finished fourth or fifth in Serie A, and he was a main contributor on their team this year until he was sold. Whenever he plays for the USMNT we actually play like a European side, with movement, possession, quick passing. Without him we immediately have trouble stringing three passes together in the midfield. DM is the weakest position on our team IMO, even more so than striker.

And I love Arteta. He's been invaluable to us over the past few years, but he's just too slow against top sides.

Arteta is too slow, but his passing is on a level that Bradley can't emulate. The problem is that we don't have another player who can move the ball from deep like Arteta can. Or, rather, we don't have a player who wants to be the DLP, as Ramsey and Wilshere both want to play further forward, as well as move vertically without restriction.

I'd rather have Bradley than Flamini to be honest, if Bradley hemmed in his game only for defensive purposes. His technique is good enough, he has enough positional sense and he could probably play our possession game as well as Flamini does. His athleticism is intriguing, and he would certainly add steel to our midfield.

To be fair, I'd rather not have Flamini or Bradley as our options. We should be aiming higher than those two.

Oh I agree . I think our main target in the summer needs to be an elite, 25-30m DM, even over an elite striker. I'm basically just saying Bradley is better than a lot of English fans would admit. Even if he's not as good as Roger Bennett makes him out to be

this is where I'm at. We aren't going to get an elite striker without having to pay out the arse. Get giroud some cover, break the bank on upgrading the dm, and its looking like we will need to replace sagna, and also get a gk. And also we need someone who can be deadly on the outside other than walcott.

If the Drmic rumors are true, you will more than just cover. He's a fantastic young player.

AW should spend Özil money on Pogba and figure the rest out on the fly. Another elite presence in midfield would make Arsenal scary. Of course, those payers would need to then stay healthy for a few games...

I think our biggest needs are, in order:

RB, DM, Winger

I would JIMP if we got Pogba.

I'd kinda love for us to splurge on Coleman. not near the defender Sagna is, but he's improving, and his attacking and link up play would be even better than Baccy's. would imagine we'll go for the cheaper Aurier or Jung though. this is only first need because Baccy is gone.

i'd say striker is the second need. absolutely, positively need another. can't be understated how much we need a new striker.

saw us linked to Rodrigo of Benfica, but apparently they sold his rights to a third party company, so no way that works out. the others have been well discussed. we just need one to push giroud and to offer us something better/different.

DM would be third for me.

then CB.

then Winger.

though i strongly believe we need to reinforce in all of those areas this summer.

Any CF who can run at defenders would be fine with me, honestly. Ok maybe not just any one, but that guy from Nuremberg we were linked with looks legit.
