The dust seems to be settling, looks like a three team race for the title entering 2014. Arsenal, Chelsea, and Man City

top 8 teams really arent too far off from each other. Just glad we can squeak out wins. Really we should get 12 out of the next 12 and stay on top.

Arsenal's next 5 league fixtures before we go to Liverpool in early February are Cardiff City (H), Aston Villa (A), Fulham (H), Southampton (A) and Crystal Palace (H). Great opportunity for our guys to extend our current 2-game winning streak and 3-game unbeaten streak and realistically collect 13-15 points during that time. We've got to take advantage of this portion of the season before that tough stretch of games in February and March.

And just a side note, Manchester City's next 2 games are both away to Swansea City and Newcastle. Chelsea plays its next match at Southampton on New Year's Day. Could we get a bit of breathing room over these next few games?

Come on you Gunners!

It would be nice, but I doubt it. This is the time of year where City's incredible depth will come into play. We just need to not concede points to the teams we should beat.

FIRST frickING PLACE !!!!!!!

Day in, day out, since mid December, the rumor is that Wenger is pressing for a Morata loan.

Have yáll heard anything about this?

Thanks. What do you think about his prospects to develop into a top flight player?

He´s aggressive, very active, has pretty good vision and a very good understanding of the game.

A LOT of people are high on him. I´ll admit, I like him more now, but still think he doesn´t have that ´it´ factor.

I may be, and most likely am, wrong, but there´s something ´stuck in my craw´. A very, very strong hunch.

Interesting, awesome, and possibly irrelevant stat I just came across: Arsenal have not lost a match in 23 months when Mertesacker and Koscielny both play the full 90 minutes

Not irrelevant at all. They complement each other very well.

I meant irrelevant in the sense that there a couple of games where we were already behind when one of them came off

They are the backbone of the team.

I wish there was a stat on the number of successful low crosses against Arsenal when Kos plays. I feel like not only does he stop most low crosses, but he manages to control them and start breaks more often than not.

i've been largely out of pocket recently, but dammit I LOVE THIS TEAM

had to watch the West Ham match on replay. Baccy is so damn good. His crossing this year has been outstanding and he's so solid defensively. we need to re-sign him ASAP.

He could have 4 at a minimum. Just absurd.

ok then 15 points shouldnt be hard. I left out southhampton in there. This will be one of the easier premier league stretches. Unless we just bail out of the cl and fa cup then there is a stretch where we will only play every 6-7 days.
