Looking for advice on the game day experience. Any good food options close to the stadium? I checked out parking and it’s $100 at the stadium and $50 a quarter of a mile away Uber it is, I guess.

Haven't been to a game but I think Valentina's Tex-Mex BBQ has a truck at Q2. Best barbecue joint in the city. Go ahead and get sloppy

Great stadium w/good food choices and beer. There’s a small brewery, Celis Brewery, but couldn’t seem to handle the crowds on game day. Line was long to grab a beer, so we just headed to the stadium. A lot of local Austin food choices at the stadium.

Lots of small breweries right next to the stadium. I'd recommend catching an uber to Hopsquad or Circle Brewing and have some drinks. Couple different food trucks hang around there as well. Then walk to stadium with supporters group and La Murga.

I’ll generally Uber, and there are a ton of places to eat/drink either on the way to the game or at the game.

I’ve only been to a handful of games, but the Domain is pretty dang close so that’s always an easy place to go beforehand then work your way toward the stadium.

Man what a fun game and an awesome atmosphere. Definitely recommend y’all checking out a game here if you can.

We ended up eating/pregaming at a taco truck walking distance from the stadium

I got to sit with some other Dallas baws. This was pregame warmups.

Mascot of the game. Definitely a good girl.

This was halftime but it lights up like this when they score.

Again, awesome experience. I loved the game I got to watch at Craven Cottage while Dempsey played there but this was a louder atmosphere. The drums and chants literally never stopped. Kind of a party atmosphere in a way. Will definitely be back.

Wanted so bad to go tonight. Ticket prices are getting crazy expensive, even more so after the inaugural year.

Dallas looked to be the more dangerous team for much of the night but Austin has a grit about them where they fight like hell. I bet the crowd after that second goal to tie it up was nuts.

People went nuts after the first goal and even more so after the second. Ticket prices were about $75 each. We weren’t even that close to the field. Good view, but overall the prices are pretty insane.

Imagine if Findley would not had pulled his best Wondo impression and buried that last shot from 5 yards out

Agree with all this. I prefer Hop Squad over Circle. For food I recommend Spicy Boys on Metric. It's in the Fairweather Cider parking lot. 4th Tap Brewing is next door. Get the 5 piece chicken, and an order of roti and chicken curry (roti canai).

ETA: fricking Finlay.

At $35 I could see myself coming back more frequently for games, but at $75 that’s unlikely.

I ended up getting BBQ at brotherton’s black iron BBQ in Pflugerville. Fantastic. Check it out if you haven’t. Melt in your mouth brisket and the best BBQ nachos I’ve ever had.

I'm supposedly getting a tour of the Info Wars studio when I'm down there for for work in a bit and am thinking about timing it up with me Timbers in town late August. If any of you lot headed to this one send a PM my way and first round will be on me

Do they give you a tinfoil hat when you walk in or do you have to bring your own?

No but I went to a Charlotte FC game back in May against Vancouver and it was fricking awesome. Went to the Southbound & Down tailgate and they do it right. Marched in with all the Latino/Hispanic crowd chanting with blue smoke bombs and instruments. Sat in the supporter section and had a blast.

For anyone looking for an easy and cheap route to get to the stadium, just park on the street in any neighborhood near burnet road near a bus stop south of the stadium, and hop on the rapid bus (803). Only get a one way ticket. When leaving, they have at least 20 busses lined up outside of the stadium to take you back, and I’ve never had to pay for that ride.

There are also some closed (after hours) business parking lots on burnet as well.
