Following EPL for the first time this season and I went with the City as my team. They sound a lot like the Yankees of the 2000's: spend a ton of money but can never really put it all together. Maybe this will be the year.

Anyone know why Adebayor was on the bench until the 82nd minute? City was getting outplayed the entire game with little offensive output. You'd think they'd want one of their best attackers in there a little sooner to try to get something going.

Adebayor has been pretty lousy of late. I would rather have Tevez and Silva in the game than that dick. Balotelli will lead the line in a few weeks and I bet Adebayor gets shipped to Juventus.

Oh ok...isn't Silva a natural wing? I guess they're overloaded there and are using him more as a supporting striker.

That's what you get when you start 3 defensive mids...

Playing a 4-5-1 with Tevez having to pass to himself was pretty crappy.

Did Boateng get injured at some point before the first match? Curious to why he wasn't in the lineup.

I can't answer that, but I will say there will probably be a lot of flux with the line up early in the season. They have a ton of guys that haven't played together and it's going to take a while to put the pieces together

Kolarov and Bridge both out long term with injuries. Back four are in for some discomfort.

Jo gets playing time in European Match and Bellamy is in the Championship.
Didn't see that coming.

I'm starting to dislike Mancini a lot. I hate all the money we spent, I loved the starting 11 last year and thought only a couple of signings would do, but this has gotten out of control. What do you think? Is this too much?

I liked those guys too, but they were Hughes' players and I understand why Mancini would go out and get his own players when he's got the money to spend. It's only his second transfer window and he didn't have much time before last January (and only brought in AJ), so I'm hoping this is a one time turnover and there are only a change or two each year should he stay (He better win).

I just don't know how he's going to keep everyone happy unless there are enough injuries to keep guys off the bench.

They NEED to get some long runs in Europa and at least one of the English Cups to get everyone games.

Monday morning matchup looks to be a great one as city has their home opener is against the Pool. Liverpool looked solid against the gunners while city's Joe hart was a savior.
I'm was really concerned about city's offense but our recent acquisition ha made me feel better. I think Mancini needs to go ahead and use more of a offensive midfield instead of playing for another freaking draw

Considering all the offensive personnel they have, I was shocjed they played with 3 defensive mids. I thought they were going to be all out attack
