2nd in the Premiership
I'm loving it!!! I think it's about time I buy a new City jersey.
This is the one I've been sporting for years, and I think it's time to update to:
what do you think?

do it boss.
ETA btw check out the article on soccernet about another tevez mancini bust up. I don't think it's going to be a big deal in the long run. Probably just frustrated because the first half he didn't get a lot of offensive support. Mancini responded by putting the pressure on and it worked out.

yea, Tevez and Mancini haven't gotten along at all. Had a bust up last summer too. I'm not worried right now. Did you hear about Mancini not liking AJ?

I remember their previous problems. I wouldn't go so far as they don't get along at all. I think they are just two type A personalities. Mancini is doing what he knows wins games which is tactics and defense. To his credit, it is winning games. At the same time, that leaves tevez to be almost solely responsible for scoring goals. He feels that he needs support in the center and on the wings and is pretty tired of running his arse off to score arguably fewer goals than last season. There is a middle ground somewhere that will work out, but for now I agree with Mancini, especially as long as we are sitting up in the table.

To be honest, I haven't heard that rumor. Now that you mention it, it seems reasonable. Mancini puts a huge premium on being able to defend. That's why he insists on playing de jong and barry every week, because he knows he can trust them to be in position. While AJ creates spectacular goals and generally helps drive the offense, he has a tendency to forget some of his defensive responsibilities. Mancini is trying to work him in there more as of late. Let's hope everyone can be happy, and above all else keep winning.

Danny Mills on the situation
quote:
It is a baffling policy with City crying out for a bit of pace and ingenuity to liven up their midfield 0the situation has not been handled well by Mancini. Here is a youngster who has barely put a foot wrong since moving to Eastlands from Middlesbrough in January. He has scored in successive matches for England, yet finds himself stuck on the bench and being told to work harder by his club manager.
quote:
Johnson's playing style reflects his enthusiasm for football and City, so - after the most satisfying weeks of the winger's - Mancini's decision to place question marks against him was strange. "Adam has to understand that sometimes it is important for a player to play for a team," Mancini said. "He can have a top career if he understands that he must work and think about football every day, not about other things. "I am very happy that he played for England but he needs to keep his feet on the ground. That is important, not just for Adam but for all young players. "It is easy for a player like Adam, with a good attitude and good quality, to arrive at the top. But you must always stay there. You can never go back. "Sometimes when players arrive at the top they think they have finished. Actually, you must work better than before."
quote:
It seems that whenever Mancini strays beyond the banal - praising Robinho, Craig Bellamy or Shay Given at every opportunity - he succeeds in creating an issue. He did it with Stephen Ireland and has certainly done it Johnson, who will now have to answer a variety of questions on the subject on a regular basis.
Danny Mills on the situation
quote:
"My only worry is he is not a Mancini-type player. I am not sure Mancini likes him because he will take the odd risk, he will give the ball away. I think he may struggle to get a regular start which would be a massive shame."

Still a tall order. I don't think they will make the UEFA Fair Play Regulations by 2014 from reading that article.

They'll make Fair Play, barely, hopefully.

Okay I'm jumping in this thread, got Man City for a FIFA 11 PS3 league sonow they are officially my team. Wanted to get into soccer. Don't know much about them, or EPLin general. I watched them beat Chelsea (I think) couple weeks ago. Things I do know are A. they spent arse load of cash. 2. I like teves C. DeJong rapes people and should die of AIDS or something. Anything else? Thanks.

Alright, here's what you need to know:
A. We have an Arab owner. I know what you're thinking, but it's cool because he's rich off his A$$, so we got some ballers.
B. We've been injured this year and are still #2 in the EPL.
C. We hate Man U.
D. What's better than seeing who DeJong will kill next?
E. Carlos Tevez
Pasion at it's finest.
F. Great fan base, beautiful stadium

Well add another to the man city nation. Really gonna try to get into soccer I loved the worldcup and now playing FIFA video game I'm getting into it more. I read this thread and recognize all the names bc I'm always subbing them in and out.
Do you know or have link to the formation they primarily use and starters I want to make it realistic when I play.
Or an ideal lineup if there was no injuries.
