Whatever is wrong with Brennan, Burrow would have played through.

Well this is an odd take considering Brennan's got a pretty serious injury.

I'm pretty sure if Burrow had the same thing, LSU wouldn't play him either.

Completely unrelated question, but since you're our resident medical expert cwil, what do you think Myles injury really is? LSU is being really coy about it and seems like everyday his status changes. Something hernia related maybe?

I know “lower leg injury” but that’s all I’ve heard. Do you have any more clues? I’m gonna do some research if I can.

Sounds like a torn abdominal muscle. That could be a severe strain, a full tear, or even a sports hernia, where you tear off the musculotendenous attachment to the pelvis. The latter requires specialist referral and surgery that would end his season. You can rehab some of those but it can be tough depending on how serious the injury is. Bankston is a general ortho and not a sports specialist, per se, although I’m sure he has plenty of experience with sports stuff by now.

Some people I know who are connected with the staff have said hes going to be out for the year. And dont say Joe would be playing. I think Brennan would if he could, hes a tough SOB saying he played through the injury for three quarters

Should do that even if Brennan plays.

Bo Pelini = Omar Gonzalez

Lletget replaces Sargent.

Were you not going to do this regardless of who was playing quarterback?

Brings in some experience for a young midfield/forward group. I think LA Galaxy just got eliminated from the playoffs. There's still 2 strikers in the group, so may plan to give each a start. Can put Weah at striker if needed.

Would've rathered Bacon.

We know what Lletget brings to the table and it's serviceable, we don't know how Bacon 2.0 fits in.

He brings experience and leadership. Something this group is really lacking. Of the forwards/midfielders, I think McKennie is the oldest player at 22. Berhalter chose Soto and Gioacchini over Aron because they are looking at the Olympics.

Likely similar or less than Lletget. Serviceable at best. Turns 30 in a few days and until very recently, has been injury riddled for years.

You can't hold that against when you just brought up Lletget's experience.

And acting like 30 is old for soccer is dumb.

Again, see: Lletget, Sebastian.

Wait, is this an Auburn/LSU thread?

Lletget missed most of 2017, but he has consistently played 28+ games a year all the remaining years since 2014, when he was ~22.

This is just Johannsson's 2nd season of more than 15 games since 2014. The two really aren't close in number of games since Lletget moved to MLS.
