Love this roster selection. Me thinks McBride is about to turn this thing around despite GB.

Sad not to see Nova or CCV, but can't complain too much. Just weird seing Gio and Pulisic all considered forwards. I've always considered CAMs and Wingers as midfielders, but thats just me. Screams 4-2-3-1 to me, and that is totally fine.

Horvath/Steffen
Dest, Miazga, Brooks, Robinson
Adams, McKennie
(any of new guys, Gio, Pulisic
Sargent

What euro-based CB would you replace him with?

Call him up for bench but play Brooks and Miazga.

I don't think he will be playing much in the next WC, but need some veteran experience in camp.

So what exactly are you complaining about?

Brooks and Miazga were both called up.

Ream is the left footed CB backup for Brooks here

It wouldn't shock me if Gregg starts him at LB for one of these matches.

He has essentially used him and Lovitz the last 2 years as a third CB when the RB moves up into the attack. I'm interested to see how that changes now that we've brought a legitimate attacking LB into the fold.

I really don't like Ream as the left back. IMO, he is barely serviceable as a center back against better competition. It is sad that Ream as been one of the better options at left back in recent years.

Unfortunately, I don't know that we have anyone better at CB to replace Ream as one of the top 4 CB's. That is part of the problem. Brooks has to start, of course. Hope that Richards can come along and that Miazga will show some improvement with his new club. An iffy position for the USMNT.

At left back, I like Robinson to start. Dest could be moved to left back as second choice. I just like more athleticism and attacking threat at the left back (and right back) positions than Ream is able to provide.

At right back, Dest and Cannon probably the best choices. Yedlin has not played much recently so not sure about him.

If I have to pick a 23 right now, this is what I'm doing. Obviously the caveat being that Jozy is healthy and Musah picks USA.

Completely unrelated question, but since you're our resident medical expert cwil, what do you think Myles injury really is? LSU is being really coy about it and seems like everyday his status changes. Something hernia related maybe?
